  2. RHP Dylan Cease on the mound today for the White Sox. Oakland’s original listed SP, RH Kaprielian, was placed on the 15 Day IL. A LHS may potentially go today. Its time for the Sox to open up a can of whup ass and begin a winning streak NOW. Starting Lineups pending. This is White Sox Baseball!

  4. The best Sox can be is 3 1/2 entering Monday. The Sox need to go 4-2 the remaining six against Oakland to win the season series. Oakland is now 4-6 .400 vs. AL Central. NL Central (6-6 .500); NL West (1-2 .333); AL East (5-15 .250); NL East (2-10 .167); AL West (4-23 .148). Oakland won the season series over three current or former NL 1st place teams: Atlanta (2-1); Milwaukee (3-0) & Pittsburgh (2-1). Oakland leads the season series against Kansas City (2-1 with 3 to play) and Chicago (1-0 with 6 to play).
  5. They need position players as well. Zavala (49 games) and Remillard (11 games) are tied for 5th among Sox position players with a 0.4 fWAR. https://www.fangraphs.com/teams/white-sox
  6. Time will tell whether Beane's $56.8M team wins the season series versus Hahn's White Sox.

  8. Would have been tied with an Elvis hustle and a fresh reliever in the 9th.
  9. Two nights ago, this same team was beat by a perfect game, by a pitcher who gave up 10 runs his previous start.
  10. I hope someone asks Pedro in the post game about Tim batting second tonight.
  11. White Sox senior vice president Rick Hahn said he was "in a little bit of disbelief" regarding Shohei Ohtani's decision to sign with the Dodgers on Tuesday. Chicago was among the main suitors for Ohtani prior to Tuesday's decision. "If the offer that I'm seeing, or the acceptance of the offer I'm seeing is true, actually our offer had the opportunity for Shohei to surpass that," Hahn told reporters at the White Sox's Spring Training facility in Glendale, AZ. "But in the end we went after the guy, obviously we didn't get him, and we're disappointed."
  12. Tony Kemp is 80 years old, and has a triple and stolen base.
  13. Oakland bullpen guys Rico Garcia (15.00) & Shintaro Fujinami (10.04) shut down the Sox, Remillard double the only thing separating perfection.
  14. Yes, Oakland has 3 good plus players to the White Sox 1. 1+ fWAR through half the season (2 fWAR pace for an average starting player): 3.4 Robert 1.4 Noda 1.1 Rooker 1.0 Peterson
  15. Position Player Team fWAR: Chicago 4.3 vs, Oakland 2.5
  16. If he takes scissors pregame to everyone's 1983 uniforms, all of this will have been worth it.
  17. Colson Montgomery and Yasmani Grandal for Perez, Greinke, Lyles and Dozier wouldn't surprise me. Hahn's chef kiss. And Perez clobbers another home run.
  18. Sox OPS Leaders: Robert .889 Remillard .860 Vaughn .785
