  1. $73M should buy more than this: White Sox Grandal by month (5 + Games Played - Two months excluded) 7/20: 5 Games .356 OPS 5/22: 25 Games .482 OPS 3-4/22: 17 Games .497 OPS 3-4/21: 17 Games .567 OPS 7/22: 6 Games .723 OPS 6/22: 8 Games .766 OPS 8/20: 21 Games .820 OPS 9-10/20: 20 Games ..825 OPS 5/21: 20 Games .876 OPS 6/21: 23 Games 1.005 OPS 9/21: 26 Games 1.007 OPS
  2. Lucas makes less than Liam, Graveman and Kelly, all of whom are at (Liam) or below him in fWAR.
  3. Yes, but they make $6M combined. Hahn spent $90.4M on a combined -0.2 fWAR. That's the real issue. Moncada 0.4 Lynn 0.3 Pollock -0.1 Jimenez -0.2 Grandal -0.3 Keuchel -0.3
  4. The Sox won four home games this season without a HR, two of which were shutouts. 6/21 - White Sox 7 Toronto 6 6/7 - White Sox 4 Los Angeles N. L. 0 5/29 - White Sox 5 Chicago N. L. 4 5/2 - White Sox 3 Los Angeles A. L. 0
  5. Pretty sure a 79-83 record wins this division. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/07/twins-place-max-kepler-miguel-sano-on-10-day-injured-list.html
  6. The Sox could get a good haul from the Dodgers (unless they resign Trea Turner). I don't believe they give a shit about marketing to fans. If they did, they wouldn't have hired a Silent Generation manager, nor would they tolerate Steve Stone trolling fans for years, though I think he will finally be gone next year,
  7. His off-field behavior has certainly turned off some fans this Summer. His Basta Pasta days are ovah.
  8. May as well be. Sox most irreplaceable player is out, and the only capable CF/RF left on the team started one of four games this week (Tuesday).
  9. Consistent with the parent club under Hahn’s tenure.
  10. What the fuck is literal face plant Sheets doing in RF again? Where the hell is Adam Engel? Why do people give pets human names?
  11. Tony is more concerned with unwritten rules, playing the game his way, playing and being with players he likes and remembers and show him respect. Outside of catching Connie Mack, winning games is of little concern to Tony.
  12. I think Tim would do well in LA under Dave Roberts, a good fit if they are not going to sign Trea Turner. Don’t see the Sox keeping him in the Division, but he would also flourish under Tito. Sox have a lot of solid players who would do well under a different organization.
  13. So more Luerys, Big Energy, Jake Lamb types. More players who can’t produce. More players Tony like. Hell, they will be lucky to break 70 wins.
  14. Tampa looking for catching help. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/07/rays-looking-for-catching-help.html “Hello, it’s Rick. I’ve got a few guys available for your catcher spot.” Peter Bendix “Hi Rick, let me put you on hold to finish this call I’m on.” Clicks hold.
  15. Can his Baby Mama sit in the dugout, perhaps join Tony’s staff? There appears to be no qualifications or expectations to be on the payroll.
  16. They do care about apathy and fans staying home. Attendance is down from full COVID capacity attendance last Summer. It will likely decrease further in 2023 when they lose a significant portion of fans who purchased 2022 season tickets to lock in 2021 playoff tickets.
  17. May as well activate Tony as player manager and have Jerry Narron pencil him in as the everyday RFer.
  18. Kim Ng broke in with the White Sox and was highly thought of both here and throughout baseball. She could be a solid fit, and most certainly the best the Sox can hope for as long as Jerry is Chairman. Kenny can stay on through the rest of his contract (anyone know how long? 2022-23?) in strictly an advisory role. Hahn can pout on the North Shore. Miami is on the upswing, and she is doing well with a very limited budget ($79.6M, 26th across The MLB).
  19. Yep. Everything La Russa touches turns to shit. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/p/peralda01.shtml September 26, 2004: Signed by the St. Louis Cardinals as an amateur free agent. May 5, 2009: Released by the St. Louis Cardinals. July 3, 2013: Signed as a Free Agent with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
