  1. Prefer to remember Vance Law, Ray Durham, Juan Uribe and Yolmer Sanchez.
  2. It's as though he has pictures of La Russa, hoping he joins Lamb soon.
  3. Why even have announcers if they are not going to broadcast from the game. Just have AI bots announce game day / baseball savant activity. Or just have a casino sponsor the broadcasts and have a few fans watching the game playing slot machines and commenting on the action. Might help goose Jerry's sale to Sinclair.
  4. Based on the cord cutting article, it sounds like the Cubs and White Sox may again a common broadcast partner, Sinclair, after decades of WGN broadcasts. Wonder if Sinclair will ever send their broadcasting crews back on the road. MLS and NFL are the only two sports which continue to broadcast games over the air, and their ratings have done well. The other three sports have ratings continue to dive, If one of the Chicago MLB teams returned a significant portion of games, even say a dedicated weekend game like the Yankees do in NY, it would go a long way to increasing positive team exposure in a cord cutting world. Been satisfied listening to games while getting nice walks in, and watching the game summaries free on MLB.com. Like the broadcasters on radio better as well, and they actually attend all the games in person. What a concept!
  5. Love all these moves, rest Tim, Foster can go 2-3 IP for a bullpen game to cover for Lucas. Sheets has a chance to play for a playoff roster spot, hope he gets plenty of playing time this month. Foster and Hamilton came up for the team photo yesterday, Collins will come up next week, perhaps for Foster or Wright once they confirm Lynn or Lucas can return.
  6. Jose Abreu. Converting one fan at a time.
  7. Speaking of Javy Baez...
  8. https://theathletic.com/2801540/2021/09/01/white-sox-roster-expansion-presents-them-with-more-questions-than-open-spots/
  9. Hopefully he will only miss a couple of starts at most, and fully recover.
  10. January 18, 2020. Tom was correct, it took 18 months.
  11. I'm going to celebrate when the Twins are eliminated, and again after the Guardians are eliminated. https://www.playoffmagic.com/mlb/division/ 12 Minnesota 14 Royals 15 Detroit 22 Cleveland
  12. I believe the 3rd catcher will arrive in Oakland, when Collins is eligible to return to the Sox.
  13. Lucas has been diagnosed with left hamstring tightness per Len Kasper. He will be reevaluated tomorrow.
  14. Left Hamstring Tightness per Len Kasper. He will be reevaluated tomorrow.
  15. Hawk would be downstairs helping out with Lucas' injury, getting an update for viewers at home.
  16. It's a more accurate term. A player is out because they suffered an injury, they are not out because they are disabled. A disability is a long-term/permanent impairment.
  17. There is an off day Thursday, and the next two Mondays. They can get by without a fifth starter, if need be, if Lynn is out close to the minimum. They can also bring up a spot starter for a game if need be.
