  1. Luis Castillo is 28 and a top 15 pitcher plus it’s not like they can’t sign/draft pitchers going forward. Castillo helps you win now and in the future.
  2. This would not be good for the Sox - Sox should jump in here price will be expensive but he’s a difference maker you give up a lot for.
  3. Yeah Castillo gives them the best rotation in baseball in my opinion but to beat out the Padres, Rays, Dodgers package Sox are gonna have to give up a lot but again I think it’s worth it
  4. Exactly my thoughts although I think Vaughn is gonna take but I’d gladly take Luis Castillo over Andrew Vaughn
  5. My guess is they’re probably asking for Vaughn and Kopech which is a lot for most people but Castillo is really damn good.
  6. Yeah one of the foodies or NSC said a trade for Gallen was on the table with Madrigal included but turned down, would love to see Gallen slot into the 3rd SP spot
  7. I don’t agree though, Castillo is one of the 15 best pitchers in baseball and gives you arguably the best rotation in the game then and gives you a shot to win a World Series not only this year but for the next 3 years. Vaughn may be really damn good but he still needs some time and could end up being a bust.
  8. Really gonna get crazy here but wonder what it would take to get a Zac Gallen and Ketel Marte package?
  9. If you trade Vaughn for Castillo that’s telling teams to GTFO the way its the Sox championship to lose with a DH signing as well. I endorse trading Vaughn for Castillo but they won’t do it.
  10. Trade Adam Eaton sign Marcell Ozuna ???
  11. Don’t know if it really means anything but he signed on with Klutch Sports just back in June, since then he’s put good numbers, really making a name for himself in top SS conversations, didn’t seem too thrilled about the TLR hire, just get the vibe something’s off. Could be absolutely nothing but worth mentioning.
  12. Thank you, Vaughn needs time still, dude looked great facing the same pitching every day he needs to some run in the minors. I mean I hope everyone understands that this team is competing for a title Vaughn can be great but let’s get a proven hitter to fill that DH spot for now.
  13. Yankees re-sign LeMahieu to not many’s surprise. Feel like if they add a couple SP they vault back up to the favorites in the AL. I think the White Sox need another big bat (Ozuna, Cruz, Brantley) LaStella would be nice to replace Madrigal if traded but if he’s not traded then let’s get a bigger bat.
  14. Oh yeah the Sox seem to be acting with urgency which is good and bad (Eaton) to see. If they can quickly get another SP and assuming it would cost Madrigal, my guess is they have his replacement in mind already, get whomever it is picked up and then can afford to wait out the DH role for a little bit (hopefully Ozuna) they’re in good shape
  15. For all the owners who cried poor, to see Jerry of all owners give out the richest contract ever for a reliever I’m sure has free agents pumped and some owners annoyed, I could see it being a long standoff again but sooner or later the dam is gonna break, right?
  16. Sox need another reliable starter if Burnes is that guy works for me! Madrigal may be a great balance for the lineup but so are Tommy La Stella/Kolten Wong. I’d also much rather have Burnes than any of the free agent starters outside of Bauer.
  17. MARCELL OZUNA - Step on every American League team’s throats
  18. Sox gotta be thinking Castillo, Gray, Woodruff
  19. Feel like Moose has to play for the White Sox before his career is over, I’m all in on a Moose and Gray/Castillo even if it costs Kopech and Madrigal, that puts the Sox as favorites in the AL hands down! Jerry won’t take the contract on but if he decides to have a sudden change of heart I think this is the move.
  20. Last part of the 1st paragraph a little interesting, his tryout isn’t until next Wednesday and I would imagine Sox could potentially view him as a number #3-4 guy if healthy. Assuming unless talks get going with another team probably won’t hear about a SP move until after??
  21. And once again the WhiteSox should do it, if they do I would have to assume they are gonna lock up either Kolten Wong or Tommy La Stella
  22. Pleasac is a damn good pitcher and young, Madrigal’s ceiling is limited, Heuer is a reliever, and who knows with Stiever, yes you make this deal. And he’s a jag bag so La Russa would love him
  23. I mean look I know the odds of all of this happening are slim, it’ll cost Jerry some money but damnit this at least gives them a chance against the Dodgers/Padres. All comes down to the chairman
  24. If Kopech and Vaughn are 100% off the table and Sonny Gray can be had for Madrigal, Heuer, Kelley, Dalquist, Thompson (NOT SAYING ALL BUT SOME COMBO OF THAT) then you 10000% make that deal. Add LaStella/Wong & Hendriks and the Sox instantly become the favorites in the AL in my opinion. I don’t think there’s another team in the AL whose pitching staff could match up better than the one the Sox would have.
