I’d much rather trade Kopech for Castillo, I feel like Castillo is that much better than Gray. And the goal is to win the World Series every year, if you’re only aiming to win the division every year then your owner must be Jerry Reinsdorf.

It’s ridiculous that they’d be tapped financially. This gives me absolutely zero hope for the future of this team, Jerry won’t do whatever it takes to win a World Series.

They’re right, closers should not get paid $14 mil a year. The White would be wise to be putting that $14 mil towards another SP (Bauer) or Springer/Ozuna and a lesser reliever but the Sox lack wisdom so will end up overpaying for Hendriks because that’s his market and they feel he’s more valuable than an elite SP or Positional player.

I’d gladly trade Kopech for Castillo.

I kind of agree with this, I wouldn’t be upset with Hendriks, but get a couple lesser guys and spend the money on Ozuna (wishful thinking I know) I just don’t trust that Vaughn is gonna turn into a superstar hitter at DH that most of us are pegging him to be right away.

Give me Darvish only, Heyward is a huge hell no for me

I just don’t think Darvish is worth taking on Heyward’s contract too, then it truly limits you’re future spending and you’re all in on Kopech and Vaughn turning out to be stars...

Are we ACTUALLY ok with Jason Heyward as the starting RF? And Yu Darvish was pretty bad up til last season. I just can’t get hyped about this move.

Let me re-phrase I wouldn’t mind giving up any 1 or 2 of those guys for BOTH Harper and Wheeler, I’m not saying include all of them in one package.

I’d give up Kopech, Cease, Dunning, Vaughn for Wheeler AND Harper in a heartbeat, it won’t happen but I’m just saying I would not be hesistant to include any of those guys for *BOTH*

Don’t even want to think about alternatives to Springer. I know I might be beating a dead horse but damnit I’m so tired of this organization cutting corners or losing out on big time players, pay Springer and Richards, trade for Snell, grab a closer and let’s roll, assuming all guys stay healthy and keep progressing this is an AL Pennant roster.

I remember when gun to head Machado was coming to the Sox too. The only base to this he has is because Sox need pitching and have money probably nothing more. Id love to be proven wrong though

It sounds like most believe he’s gonna wait for the Mets to get their front office set so until that’s done Sox are probably gonna have to overpay some to get a deal done ASAP so this is likely gonna drag out some...

Guys... Marcell Ozuna almost won the MVP award Andrew Vaughn hasn’t had an at bat above High A ball. I understand the excitement and the idea of him hitting some blasts but he needs time to develop.

If he was anything like last year it definitely wouldn’t be a poor use of resources, again this is assuming they’re not signing Springer. Signing Ozuna makes, or should make Vaughn expendable in search for pitching.

I’m fine with Brantley as long as it means Springer is here as well. I know I sound like a unrealistic jag bag but Jerry has to spend. I’ll be fine with a platoon in RF as long as they have Ozuna. They just again need a another big bopper in the lineup.
