  1. Yes I would rather have Ozuna instead of Eaton and Hendriks
  2. $16 mil for Ozuna per year would have been an extra $8 mil more than last years payroll, really damn frustrating
  3. That too would be fine, Vaughn backing up Abreu or at DH would be pretty damn good too. You just gotta find a way to make it work, IMO it would give the Sox the best offense in baseball with a good enough pitching rotation to at least have a chance, as is they’d get curb stomped against the Dodgers/Padres
  4. Sox should do it and package Vaughn for a TOR arm that would vault them into Dodgers-Padres conversations but Jerry’s cheap so will never happen
  5. If Giolito keeps getting better and potentially wins a Cy Young, after Bauer got what he got, there’s no way Giolito is here after 3 years right
  6. This is the most important take away from everything, if he wins a Cy Young too.... yeah kiss him goodbye
  7. No it has not been spent, and will never be spent in the context that we want it to be (Machado/Harper/Cole/Springer) types
  8. Great making Burnes expendable for pennies
  9. Hopefully next year we learn better.. Until Jerry’s gone we have to just prepare ourselves for the worst
  10. For an owner who doesn’t like setting the market...
  11. In a perfect world where the owner isn’t cheap Sox would have Burnes, Ozuna, and Wong but it’s not and the owner sucks
  12. The Sox were never interested
  13. Cannot wait for the tweets after Twins sign Ozuna, Rosenthal, and Odorizzi about how we shouldn’t worry because “the Sox have more potential”, “Adam Eaton will turn it around” , “Andrew Vaughn is gonna be great”....
  14. I agree, I hate to say it but feel like that forearm issue he had in that playoff game isn’t going away...
  15. In all honesty does anybody really think he’s healthy? Katz can’t fix a dead arm c’mon
  16. Yeah you’re just extremely biased
  17. This organization, my god
  18. Rodon is exactly the dude I’d want if this were 2017 and they were trying to find reclamation projects but not in 2021 when this team is trying to win a World Series, let’s move on from this idea please? You sign Rodon you’re gonna have to sign more depth, it was never an issue of whether he has stuff but whether he can stay healthy or not, re-signing him would accomplish nothing but it’s very WhiteSox
  19. Exactly why you sign Ozuna to help lift the offense if it goes cold like it did many times last year especially down the stretch, it was a very streaky lineup, mashed against bottom feeders but struggled against better pitching. If you decide to keep Vaughn then there’s more insurance for Abreu if he slumps or package Vaughn for another SP preferably a Castillo/Woodruff type. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting more impact players for a team that has so much money left to play with but are choosing not to
  20. Then they won’t get Marquez cuz other teams can offer more
  21. We’re all putting way too much faith into Katz guys
  22. Then they should do it and sign Ozuna, I understand you wouldn’t wanna forfeit 6 years for 4 years or whatever the logic is against trading Vaughn but the goal is to win and win now, they can’t afford to waste more years of Grandal, Kuechel, Abreu, or Lynn by waiting for Vaughn
  23. The Sox as currently constructed are not good enough to win a World Series. As fans we can’t become content with just accepting they won’t spend any further, we were told otherwise, they are $80 mil under the luxury tax with holes to fill that can be solved in FA.
  24. Last year was a good start but they should have kept building off of that we expected Springer/Bauer/Ozuna that caps off a rebuild and says you’re fucking ready to steam roll these chumps who don’t want to go all in. I know it all falls on def ears cuz Jerry doesn’t give a damn about how we feel but he should because this is the most passionate fan base in baseball
