Tanner Scott was a rental though The teams who need a closer or late bullpen help are the ones with the most intriguing top prospects (Phillies, Tigers, Dodgers), even with Taylor's untapped potential I'm cool with moving on if it nets bats, I have faith in Bannister to build up a bullpen and a rotation
-
For sure, more so just getting the convo started, I'd shoot for the moon for him but would definitely move on if they're getting 2-3 top 100 guys But Clase going down helps with the other guys too which is good
-
Clase going down sure makes Grant Taylor a little more enticing... If they're able to get a couple top 100 guys I'm doing it in a heartbeat IMO

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.

Robert would be such a good fit for the Phillies, hopefully the Mets noise gets them to move some prospects we’re not expecting for the current version of Robert He’d be a fun fit for the Mets though too, gotta think he breaks out with Soto, Alonso, Lindor around him -

I think Kwan is gonna cost way too much for the Phillies IMO and I think Robert fits better. The Phillies have a bunch of LHH and they need help against LHP which Robert is destroying right now and he’s a better fielder than Kwan and a natural CF. And I think Kwan is a Dodger if he goes anywhere -
All I’m reading or seeing from the national guys is that there aren’t gonna be high impact players available, have to think this helps the Sox get better returns for Houser, possibly Martin/Cannon, Tauchman, and Robert, at least I hope it does.
-
I wonder Mike Elias would consider trading one of their younger bats for a Davis Martin, Cannon, or Shane Smith all are on controllable contracts Maybe Coby Mayo or Kjerstad who are having very down years like the rest of their team.

I hope the state continues to show Jerry the middle finger, guy absolutely 1000% does not deserve any help from anybody to build a new stadium when the current stadium is perfectly fine. He’s getting what he deserves, when you spent years cutting corners it’ll come back to bite you. Literally the only thing that isn’t good about the stadium is the product on the field, we’ll show up when the team is good, it’ll make the hour+ commute for some/most of us worthwhile
-
Jerry has legit nothing better to do in his life right now so I’m sure he’s going to hold onto this thing for as long as he possibly can and run it how he pleases, us fans be damned. I think Ishbia is next in line and Jerry is lining things up for that to be the case but at this point it sounds like it won’t happen until he passes. Until then we have to hope that Chris Getz has enough smart people in place to draft correctly and make trades that net some diamonds in the rough.

So Greenberg lied about Jerry going to Ishbia during the discussions with the Twins? Yeah I’m not buying it, I think it’s closer than we’re all being led to believe but don’t think it’s happening this year or anything

What would a Rangers package potentially look like for Luis Robert? -
So Reinsdorf didn’t go to Ishbia??

Is Ishbia the owner yet???

I’m sure they’d happily take Luis Robert over Austin Hays tonight, tomorrow, next month, in July. I don’t think talks are completely off the table with them, they still need a big move for Francona to really have a shot at the playoffs -

Kewl, I'm still holding onto Robert unless someone pays a premium right now -

Robert's floor is low but his ceiling is so high, I'm holding him until the deadline when everybody wants a bat. If he struggles then so be it, but I'm not selling him at his lowest point unless a team overpays right now, there's way too much talent left in him, let's see if the new coaching staff can get something out of him. -

I’m just happy to be here 🤣 It sounds dumb but the Sox need to fight their way to get in on these convos with the Asian players, for years they’ve neglected this continent way too much. Happy to see them at least trying albeit won’t result in him coming here. Feel like he’s destined to be a Padre, Dodger, or Cub just makes way too much sense for him -
I'd rather have Kyle Tucker for one year than Kyle Tucker for no years, he's really freaking good, worth the cost

I’d really push for Collier, his swing is so smooth, think he’d be a very professional hitter, I know another corner guy but the one issue we all complained about was depth so bring him in if the Reds are willing -
I love this deal, a little shocked that Dave Dombrowski decided to hold onto Aidan Miller and Justin Crawford but this is a solid return. The one thing I like the most too is the attitude these prospects bring, unlike the last round of prospects we got from Boston, these kids seem like they actually want to play ball.
