I think something isn't right with the quote feature, it is making the threads look all screwed up in a couple of places. Also, I like the changes at the bottom of the thread pages but what happened to the "Mark This Forum as Read" link at the top of the forum pages? I liked that feature.

When I click on the link to go to the Pale Hose Talk forum it thinks a while and then just gives up and leaves me at the page I was at. Is anyone else having that problem?

This sucks, I've got the link and I can paste it into my browser and it pulls up the video but when I try to download it I get an error. I know I did this before with the audio of the walk off Jose hit against the Cubs but they must have put a better system in place because I can't steal it any more.

I know, I'm still working on it. I thought I could get it to work but I'm not optimistic any more.

Great movie, I saw the mignight show on Friday. The main girl wasn't much of an actor but her cleavage was the real star anyway. Wasn't really scary, just gory and silly. Not silly stupid, just silly funny. If you go in expecting a goofy horror movie you'll enjoy it.

Ususally once a day, at night mostly, just to take a look at what has been posted. If there are good thoughtful posts I'll hang around longer and maybe post something. If the sox are doing bad and everyone is b****ing and arguing I usually leave pretty quickly because otherwise I'm too likely to become one of the people referred to in the post stuck to the top of the forum. Too much knee jerk moronism around here lately.

Well I guess now that bri has told us what is going to happen there's no reason for the team to even play the rest of the games this season.

No, it isn't. Ya gonna tell me why bj.... Well, I can start but I won't be able to finish because I don't have enough time. First, you can't put smilies in post titles to be seen from the main page. Second, my perception is that the :fyou smiley is most often used between friends on the board. Third, even when it isn't used between friends, sometimes telling someone to f*** off, directly and to their face (as much as possible on a message board), is appropriate. Telling a member of the board to f*** off based on something stupid they said in the body of a post is completely different (IMHO) from saying it in the title of a thread that everyone visiting the board can see straight off. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it shouldn't be used. I don't mean this as harsh as it is going to sound but... go start your own board and see how many people decide to stay and play by your rules.

Just because he hasn't posted much doesn't mean that he isn't reading stuff here. I read a lot more than I post. Also I have no problems with the "f*** Somebody or Something" format for thread topics in general. I think the fact that he may be reading posts here and the fact that the title is likely to be rubbing salt in a wound is a justification for changing the title, or for locking the thread as was done. That was probably the better decision but then that is why I'm not an admin. Even if Carlos Lee did read the posts here I think he's dropped enough balls in his life that he is no longer crushed by it. Besides "Dumbass" has almost turned into a term of endearment.

At least Give the kid more than one start. Calling for his head now is moronic. And I vote for changing the title of the other post.

Sorry, I didn't realize it was a "make work" program for the less fortunate.

I just mean it would be cool if there was somewhere you could automatically pull the standings information from when the page loads. You could just write the code once to format the data and be done with it. I'm sure that's what they're doing on the mlb page but they probably don't make their functions public. I wonder if there is somewhere that does.

I wonder if there is any web service available where you could get the XML and fomat it into the page. That way you wouldn't need to update it manually all the time.
