Honestly the "after 3" rule is bulls***. They tell you that.. but if you write a check on the funds - as long as you don't try to cash it at that bank - they will honor it. Likewise if you have been a customer with the bank for any length of time they cut you some slack. I don't quite understand your question about the car payment check. You wrote them 2, they cashed both, then made you wait for your money back..? If that's the case, then you should have b****ed up a storm and they should have given you your $$ back immediately (If they are the lien holder anyway). No. I wrote one check. They cashed it twice. It's a small bank and I know the Manager and just about all the tellers personally. I'd really prefer to leave, but I've got a good deal going there. No fees, no ATM fees at other banks, etc. I had the exact samething happen at National City Bank (name publish to punish the assholes) with a debit. It was a 10 day appeal process! F National City Bank!! My bank once cashed a $20 check to my credit card for $120. I had to call in and get them to credit my account back the extra $100. That sucked. They credited me the $100 dollars but forgot to tell my credit card, which had credited my account $120. That was cool.

It's happened to me twice now while I've been surfing the board when I click on the "Back to Pale Hose Talk" link at the bottom of a thread that all the posts on that board are marked as read and so are all the threads on all of the other boards. Has this happened to anyone else?
