I know it doesn't say it in the article but I thought I heard that they were still going to play the games but the were going to do it in Oakland since the games were going to count as home games for them anyway.

Looking at the address of the image it looks like when you create the image at that site they put it in a temporary directory (http://66.28.32.124/netfu/tmp10020/coollogo_com_65211292.gif). My guess is that either they use cookies to identify you so only you can see it or (more likely) they just get rid of it so it isn't taking up space on their server. The reason you can probably see it when nobody else does is that it is still in your browser cache. You need to copy the image once you make it and find somewhere else to host it.

I think it makes more sense than letting him ride the pine.

Depends on if they are fielding a team designed to win and that is close to the starting roster or if they are fielding a team designed to evaluate talent that won't be on the roster when the season starts. Granted the pitching should be better but it is only the first spring training game. It is way too early to care too much about the results.
