TLR is very formulaic, inflexible and does not adjust or change his ways. Game has passed him by. Time to retire like most of the people his age.

He must have learnt this route from Goodwin last season. I thought we were liberated from Goodwin bad OF defense but not quite.

Grandal should have hit for McGuire. He is a flyball hitter and we could have used a sacrifice fly. Also he is more experienced hitter. TLR generally does not like to pinch hit for his starters.

Hey TLR, that is what they pay them those big bucks to play, not to grab bench. TLR does not even consider the boppers for a pinch hit role in a one run game. It is managerial malpractice and a total embarrassment IMO.

Because the regulars have more skills, experience and track records than the scrubs, so you play the probabilities.

Maybe the regulars would have done better in the second game than against Bieber. Maybe the scrubs should have faced Bieber instead, as our chances to win the first game against Bieber and with DK pitching was low.

I don’t understand the MLB scheduling. They send Tampa Bay to play in Chicago in April, and waste those warm days in Florida.

This loss is 100% on TLR and McEwing to a lesser extent. Didn’t use all his weapons during the game and allow it to get to Clase in the 9 th on a one run game. Abreu was ready to hit but he grabbed some bench instead in the 9 th. TLR should have treated this game as a long extra inning game and play our best lineup. Didn’t seeCleveland sitting Jose Ramirez in the second game…
