  1. We probably would still have Burger.
  2. You are right. Allocating big money for relievers and not enough for a quality everyday 2nd baseman and RF.
  3. TA leading off for most of the season is an important negative factor. Grifol second reason, doubling down on TA leading off.
  4. I am switching my allegiance for there stop this season to Jake Burger and the Marlins. Burger was 4-7 in the Marlins- Dodgers DH today, even though they lost. There was no need to trade Burger. Team control thru 2028, one of the top HR in MLB, one of the most popular players on the Sox team who was coming around. Hahn pissed me off once again.
  5. Burger actually looks like a hairless hybrid of Mike Trout and Kyle Schwarber, not too bad.
  6. Burger 3 run homer at Dodgers Stadium tonight. Worst Hahn’s move of the year. Lynn won against the Marlins last night also, a 4 hitter.
  7. Beating the Cubs is always important.
  8. Burger 3-4 today 8/16 with 2 RBIs. Rick Hahn strikes out again. Madrigal homers against the Sox tonight.
  9. It is also good to remind that Burger was under team control through 2028 season.
  10. Burger was 7 for 12 against the Yankees last weekend. Sox gave up on Burger too soon. Move Moncada to second and keep Burger at 3 rd was the wiser decision. We needed Burger power at homer friendly GRF. He was a first rounder. Could turn into a Schwarber and we will miss his 30-40 homers per season.
  11. Burger trade was a mistake. He is a popular first rounder slugger who was coming around. We need sluggers at GRF. He is making more contact with the Marlins.
  12. Would have hit Remilliard for Grandal to lay out a bunt and live another inning at least.
  13. They have looked like White Sox East in this series.
  14. Tonight was probably Vaughn’s best game of the season.
  15. If this is only the pitch that he is so horrible against, I would be very happy.
  16. Sounds like two competing law firms.
  17. Shaw surprisingly came through. Yanks were terrible tonight which helped.
  18. The Yankees looked like the Sox tonight. They were pitiful.
  19. And Sox math too.
  20. Pedro deservedly got thrown under a big Greyhound bus by Middleton.
  21. This team needed a disciplinarian manager such as Joe Girardi, who is a local and has worked in winning organizations. Grifol is too laid back, lacks leadership, and is afraid of confronting his players. I guess Pedro was cheap which suited JR.
  22. Good point. And we have a lot of big guys on our team, including expendable guys like Sheets. I guess our big guys like Robert and Eloy are too valuable and too frail to possibly get hurt in the melee.
  23. Might as well have him jog to first base or even walk to first on sure outs. Hope for a few homers.
