I would have still gone with Benintendi even against a lefty, with Remilliard at second , hitting second , and Andrus on the bench. Continuing to hit TA second is managerial malpractice. Witness the 0 for 5 today and the strike out in the 10th.

I think the main consideration was the hitter was Eloy that has been hitting well lately, and that Grandal, who has sucked, was hitting next. Grandal hitting 5 th in this game hurt the Sox. we only needed one run. Could have tried bunting one pitch.
