  1. You are right. Poor base running, lack of clutch hitting, Maldonado in the lineup left runs on the table.
  2. Inexplicable. We are cursed with all our recent managers. They are very adept are making the wrong decisions.
  3. Ortega is bad and with no protection even worse. Batting averages today are .071 for Ortega thanks to his bunt single, and .101 for Maldonado barely above its line. Fortunately, Sox survived the game, but let’s not try that luck again, and nobody will accuse our Bash Brothers of using PEDs.
  4. Ortega and Maldonado hitting back to back was a scary proposition. The Maldonado line is alive and well with these two.
  5. We could have had Cease and ReyLo has an ERA of 1.50 with the Braves as a starter, so we could have had 5 solid starters if we would have held the course.
  6. There is no thinking behind it. Pedro sucks.
  7. Looks like a AA player, and way below the Maldonado line at .000. Ship him back to the minors on a one way Greyhound ticket.
  8. The handicap caught up with the Sox today,. Shutout again. Ortega representing the Maldonado line today, still batting .000.
  9. And Maldonado crossed the line to .106!
  10. Eloy should have been pinched run for right away after his double.
  11. Pedro is not one of the fastest thinkers around.
  12. Glad Vaughn filled the tank tonight with premium and not regular, and was able to score on the sacrifice fly.
  13. Pedro is a 20th century manager, and not good even for that era.
  14. Have to eat some crow. Grandal just hit a 3 run homer against theCubs, zooming past Maldonado.
  15. Wants to leave the Maldonado line behind. Too embarrassing.
  16. You forgot Zach Collins another catching failure, and a first rounder.
  17. Too bad the Sox had such a terrible start, and they felt they needed to trade Cease. Otherwise imaging having two big stoppers leading the league in strikeouts, probably the best 1-2 pitching combo in MLB.
  18. If there is a consolation on Maldonado hitting below .100, and establishing the Maldonado line, Yasmani Grandal is hitting below the Maldonado line with the Pirates. Last night he was at .092.
  19. You are right. JR is pretty much destroying the Sox brand. It is not cool anymore to wear a Sox cap. IMO.
  20. Sox this season do not have a stopper like Cease so it is hard to go on a winning streak or avoid losing streaks. IMO. Cease did a number without Vaseline to the Cubs yesterday , with a combined 1 hit shutout and 12Ks. Hope we got a worthwhile return for him from the Padres.
