Another observation tonight was that we need to improve our Manfred ball execution. We really suck in small ball and extras, and keep losing in extra innings.

In summary, main learning tonight was don’t let PCA beat you. It reminded me of the time when we were competing with the Indians, and we were saying don’t let Jose Ramirez beat you, and he kept beating us. I hope Will learnt this lesson.

That’s laughable. PCA is the best player in MLB, and you don’t let him beat you. Take my chances with Suzuki…PCA was also seeing the ball well in this game. Venablehas been very disappointing lately. imo.

The problem is that too many challenges will slow the game down.

No power with that Trio. Rather have Peters, Benintendi and/or Colson instead , for more power against Imanaga,regardless of the Will split preference.

It’s not going to happen against lefties, with Will preference for splits. I am happy that Will is finally starting Sam against lefties, though.

Will is more obsessed with splits, than loading with lefty power hitters against Imanaga, who has allowed the second most homers in MLB.

It is tough with ACUNA, Doyle and Rogers in the lineup at the same time. But Imanaga throws many gopher balls…

Fortunately for once Will did the right thing by keeping Newcomb in the game.

This why you try to keep at least a challenge for later in the game n critical situations, and not waste them on meaningless challenges earlier Ike with no RISP.
