This mgr has more credibility and energy than Pedro. A former MLB star. pedro was a minor leaguer.

I don’t disagree with you. My point is that we should have gotten a bigger return. Fireballer relief pitchers are always in demand.

Typical result of pitchers that we trade do better elsewhere, ie. ReyLo, Bummer, Cease, now Kopech so far. The problem is compounded with the poor returns we are getting. Most of our trades of our better players look like salary dumps to me first of all. Doesn’t speak well of our coaching, GMand overall team motivation.

Kopech has pitched in 5 games with the Dodgers, 5 innings, 8Ks, no walks with a 0.00 ERA. Another case of pitchers leaving the Sox and thriving in other organizations like ReyLo, Cease, Bummer, and now apparently Kopech. Maybe is a combination of bad trades with poor returns combined with poor coaching and motivation in a terrible team.

I can only imagine that JR was trying To save some money, by not having to pay 2 managers for a longer period. The team needed a massive change and to stop the embarrassing bleeding. IMO.

I think Burger has hit 19 homers so far in Miami which is a pitchers park. At GRF he would be probably closer to 30 dingers. You need to factor your park into your personnel decisions. Sox are not a small ball team.

Getz also got poor returns on his trades of stars like Cease and Fedde, not to mention how ReyLo and Bummer are performing this year.

Many in baseball are saying the Dodgers made a killing in the trade deadline, and one reason is Kopech, people say that he will thrive in the Dodgers system, much as ReyLo has done in ATL. Our coaching staff are not known for getting the best out of our players. We should upgrade our coaching staff getting rid of Grifol and the coaches he brought in. my rating for Getz is D-.

JR will be forever linked to probably the worst team in MLB history, and in a major market as well. He deserves this bad legacy.
