  1. Sheets swinging at a ball over his head on a 1-0 count was pathetic indeed. No patience to wait for a pitch to hit. Nobody adjusts and we keep repeating the bad habits that are not working. Where are our coaches?
  2. What about taking some pitches. We keep swinging at the first pitch with no results. Make the pitcher work and have to throw a strike.
  3. He is the best lead off batter that we have had this season. His only disappointment has been the lack of homers for the money invested. Otherwise he is one of our better, consistent player. IMO.
  4. Only Oakland and the Royals have a worse record than the White Sox in the AL. We suck. Have wasted many great pitching performances and quality starts this year with poor defense and relief pitching.
  5. Slow runners and little running game and high ground ball rate hitters = more double plays. It would be even more if we had a higher OBP and more walks.
  6. What about a hit and run with Vaughn at the plate. He is just too slow where any ground ball on the infield with a man at first is a sure double play. If we want to manufacture some runs we need to activate the running game.
  7. Andrus error opened the door to 2 runs for the Red Sox. 2 infield errors for the White Sox in 4 innings, not a formula for success. Our pitchers don’t have much of a margin for error.
  8. He beat the odds. TA has a 10% fly ball rate.
  9. One walk only and one run. Only happens to the bad teams.
  10. It already cost us a run. His mind is still elsewhere.
  11. Lambert had no chance against a roster like the Rangers, particularly in a hitters ballpark like GRF.
  12. All our guys are pretty much swinging at the first pitch. Can anybody adjust or be coached to take a pitch here and there to work counts? Swinging at everything is not producing results.
  13. This was one of the best managed game by Pedro this season.
  14. Will sure miss Robert defense tonight.
  15. That’s the Sox stupid way.
  16. Laying the ground for a major salary dump, as there is no realistic chance that the Sox will make an impact in October.
  17. You hit it right on the head. Sox is in a major market area with a minor market owner. Was the Cubs also cancelled?
  18. Usually the results of no walks and a lot of strike outs.
  19. He is longer a Whopper. He has converted to the cheap hamburger in the value menu.
  20. Give him a take sign or two against pitchers with a good slider. He can’t him them anyway, and maybe take a walk.
  21. Where are coaches for? Need to do things differently, and adjustments need to be identified and made. The players that do not adjust and are uncoachable need to grab some bench.
  22. No walks = many solo homers.
  23. You were right. Pedro did not get the memo.
