This home plate ump is awful. Just called a ball that had the whole plate, that would have struck out Ohtani, then he gets a hit.

His lack of speed hurts him both ways, trying to get a head start, and slow running back to first. Sox have too many holes to be competitive in these close games.

Agree. The right field issue has been going on for several seasons, as RH has been too busy dealing for relievers and neglecting RF and 2B.

Agree. We need to have more contact hitters in the line up. I would have preferred Sheets hitting ahead of Grandal and Burger, we probably would have scored the run instead of the 2 Ks with a man on 3rd and one out.

Suggest to start by blowing Rick Hahn right out of Chicago. He is the architect of most of our failures. He has been GM for too long. We need to bring in a competent outsider IMO.

Pedro got too cute with Grandal PH , and did not account for the 9 th inning of a tied game with Grandal catching.

Grandal pinch hitting was not worth it as his D is horrendous. Particularly with Bummer in the bull pen. Lose on 2 walks and 2 wild pitches/passed balls. Grandal did not move laterally to block both balls. We also need to manufacture runs, bunt, hit and run with Eloy and Robert, etc.

Walks in the bottom of the ninth in a tied game is a recipe for failure.

TA needs to go on the IL or at least benched.

You are right. The Sox are inept in manufacturing runs. Generally need homers to win.
