Well it’s better to play Burger at third than Mendick at second if Moncada would take one for the team and move over to second during the emergency. Apparently this is too much to ask? Aquiring Escobar would be plan A, but even that means possibly losing a future asset.

Maybe goo turns a change in the 80s into a hard knuckleball?

Hmm. I wonder if Giolito is one of the guys hitters had problems with the goo ball. His spin rate did climb a lot.

What was said?

So Eloy and Vaughn make the switch? Interesting. But that seems more correct than Sheets in right and Eloy DHing. Just on the pecking order level.

Fair enough. If Sheets was brought up to play in right that’s bananas.

The aforementioned Lawrence Holmes can release his buttcheeks for one day.

Sheets plays before Eloy does? The calculus is confusing.

Cannot wait for Eloy in Right Field

Random stray thought. Eloy isn’t sitting and watching Sheets play RF

It was sad to see Burr go….

Day to day , yeah right.

Between Benetti and Lawrence Holmes good grief oh the fear

But that’s been how they score all year.

Imagining the defense with Burger and Sheets in the game. *gasp*

The dry ball.

It should end up that way. But Eloy will get another shot

Gosh, you have to also wonder if Abreu will be DHing at this point.

The basic Escobar deal is probably set. The extra bits we have heard about could be for an expanded deal for the outfielder. Or just a deal for the outfielder by itself. Waiting to clear the decks on that possibility.

Hahn may be locked in a room alone juggling steel bearings with one hand, a 3 finger glass of scotch in the other considering this.

Besides, minor moves like this wouldn’t require JRs involvement on any level. Hahn knows his parameters, and makes the decisions.

Correct. If a death in the family stopped the franchise from doing business in a timely manner, that would signal a problem with delegation. Not a good way to run a business.

I feel you. What can go wrong?
