This team operates by bringing studs into the minors and promoting from within. which is the exact opposite of most White Sox years of my life. And look, we are an elite American League team.
More than solid. Not that they need him going forward but with a team option, people here were willing to surrender our top prospects for Escobar rental etc. Pilkington is so reasonable under the circumstances it’s beautiful.
Silver lining is hopefully that they don’t take Vaughn out of his spot as much for Eloy. Eloy will be wrapped in bubble wrap instead of playing left field
I think he said the deal was on but the Sox player(s) had a physical issue so it fell through. In all honesty though, that would have been very early for the Dbacks to settle for a minor return. Unless the market for all these guys is much colder than sellers think it is.
Not really. Don’t assume the Sox are all that interested in giving up top prospects for a rental. Enough dominos are falling to question that seriously.
The Sox aren’t thirsty, they like their team fwiw. At least, like it enough to do any deals on their terms. If I had to guess, they are concentrating on a reliever mostly
Not sure what the demand for Tepera is. But 2 years of arbitration left on a lottery ticket with some experience could he worth considering for the Cubs if the offers are garbage.
