Time to Sacrifice Dallas
Reynaldo Lopez for one is an easy one. if it’s as you say in the minors, you fucking find a guy who’s been driving a truck or washing cars to throw batting practice every fifth day. How about trading for a stiff on another team that can break an 8.40. They do exist, trust me. Basically you don’t sit around as a major league organization that portends to be a world series contender and roll this garbage out anymore because you say you don’t have anything at AAA. This is ridiculous.

Time to Sacrifice Dallas
People are arguing that nobody can be better than a pitcher with an 8.40 ERA.

Time to Sacrifice Dallas
Hopefully someone with less than an ERA of 8.40 steps in ffs. Can’t tell if serious. At this point the Sox get more for the money by paying Gas Can Kuechel to not pitch.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
Sure, but unless we get some unexpected help from unlikely sources, our win totals matching last season are questionable without the big first half magic of last season. Guys like Mercedes floated the team for awhile, Rodon and Legend, even Goodwin with big hits. Nobody is stepping up yet. I’m hoping Robert and AJ can make up for some of the Mercedes magic. They gotta start picking this up. Can we expect the Sox to have a big final stretch as opposed to the dud last season too. So I’m a little concerned if they don’t have the big first half considering last year’s home stretch.

Crosstown Series Game Two--6:40 CT
The way he dropped Leury from the top of the lineup so suddenly and comprehensively, It confirms more and more Tony got a talkin to. Or, he just woke himself up.

Crosstown Series Game Two--6:40 CT
Engel in the 2 hole. What is it with Tony’s number 2 hole?

Crosstown Series Game Two--6:40 CT
Lawrence Holmes says Vaughn is 3rd in baseball for hard hit balls. Something like that.

Crosstown Series Game One--6:40 CT
He hasn’t had enough time off I guess. Tony LaRussa’s strategy this season is to pretend there are no problems. Everyone relax. These guys don’t need to feel any sense of urgency. Which is ludicrous.

Retooling / quasi-rebuild
My recollection is different. His velocity was down even before he started the compact delivery. Was getting hit, and went more compact to be more deceptive. Not sure his velocity didn’t actually slightly improve after the change

Retooling / quasi-rebuild
Mercedes, Rodon, Lynn, and people like king bat flip dude fueled this team early last year. They gone, Lynn is coming back, but he let down on his way out, and is of that age. Possibly overrated teams better not be fooling themselves. The way teams stay good is to be aggressive, proactive, not make mistakes, and this organization did not get the memo.

Retooling / quasi-rebuild
While they do have a significant portion of blame, this team has been the definition of mediocre now for what will amount to more than half a season. And they had a problem with playing hard recently. The roster has issues that should be seriously looked at. Its been a long time since they were good.

Of course, Leury will be in for Burger tomorrow. TLR really must stop jerking people in and out, up and down the lineup so people can gain a level of comfort and preparedness.

GAMETHREAD 4/26/22: KC Royals at ChiSox (Lynch vs Keuchel) 6:10 pm CDT
7 Ls in a row can make a manager come to Jesus. But really they need to stop trying to “win now” with the crappiest veterans on the team and try to develop prospects like Burger that can help

the trend from last year has not yet abated.

Oh, and Yolbert Sanchez promoted AAA. He’ll be up sooner or later. Probably better than Leury and Mendick. Not that he could get past TLR first.

Gas Can Kuechel, yay! looks like Adolfo is not ready to take advantage of opportunity. Hitting .143. The week I guess. Rutherford on fire though hitting homers and batting .412 https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.southsidesox.com/platform/amp/2022/4/26/23039674/chicago-white-sox-weekly-minor-league-update-april-18-24

Hendriks tipping his pitches?
I hope he gets a chance to tip his pitches a few more times this season..

Sox @ Twins
Danny Mendick and Leury Garcia being significant lineup people day in and day out is our organizational modern reality,. But we were groomed with Nicky Delmonico.
-
4/23 GT: Sox @ MIN (3:05 CST)
Utility guys around the league build shrines in their lockers to Leury Garcia.

Lighting money on fire for VV and Cueto was better than signing Rodon

Eloy Out 6-8 Weeks
“Hamstring soreness” ffs. I never saw such a quick diagnosis
-
Eloy Out 6-8 Weeks
Going by the reactions of Abreu walking out into the tunnel, and the Twins on the field, seems like they know something
