So glad he gone! Hopefully they can find someone who is or has been associated with the Sox or is a Sox fan. At the very least, please get someone who knows baseball this time. I also hope that AJ will be Stone's replacement someday when Stone has had enough. At least bring him in when Stone takes his days off.

If Colston can't learn to hit, particularly to the opposite field, he will NOT be in the majors; traded or not. His RISP & late game performances were also among the worst in baseball along with his strikeouts. It's amazing how you don't understand that bad hitters don't stay in the majors. I'm done here.

The Sox aren't going to publicly express concern about Colson or Murakami failures in the 2nd half when they each batted around .160 (Mune Aug-Sept). Both had very little to do with the Sox 2nd half success; they were just along for the ride. We all know this, except you, including the White Sox. They'll attempt to improve both in the offseason or will eventually let them go or minors for Colson before the end of the 2027 season. Colson might not even make it out of spring training. Mune will because of his contract even if he's still not hitting. Hilarious that you single out Braden as a non-threat who hit roughly 50 pts higher than Colson & Mune "down the stretch". Sub .200 hitters seldom contribute to a championship and are rarely even on a successful postseason team. Hopefully they won't make the same mistake with Bonemer (or others) that they did with Colson and rush him to the majors before he deserves it. And hopefully both Colson's & Mune's careers have not been ruined and are recoverable. No, you add good pitching before you retain sub .200 hitters. Unreal that you think the opposite is a better solution that does not "provide the most opportunities to score runs". Too funny!

Huh? A season long BA IS the definition of "quality at bats/contact". Not all solid contact goes for a hit and not all soft stuff in an out. A season long BA takes that all into account and evens it out. It's extremely rare that a player who peaks at .261 in AA ever has sustained MLB success. He has to improve by quite a bit before any callup.

Let's not get too high on Bonemer just yet. A .260 hitter in AA doesn't project to the majors very well. Colson lesson learned. We don't need another .200-ish unproductive bat. If he can get to upper .200's in Charlotte and maintain his slug then he'll be ready for the show.

If Taylor still wants to be a starter, I imagine they'll move him into the rotation with limited starts & innings.

I'm not so fixed on his K rate but it is part of his overall performance for sure. His .169 RISP, his post all-star line of .163/.304/.557, and his very similar lack of success after the 5th inning is not worthy of a major leaguer. The fact that MLB figured him out 3 months ago and he hasn't been able to make the adjustments, highlights his 1-dimensional plate abilities. If he come to spring ball as the same batter, I doubt he makes the team. He won't have the 1st half numbers to pad his god-awful 2nd half performance. But I do hope he can figure it out. His defense is impeccable and his chemistry is magnetic, but it's not enough if he continues to fail >80% of his AB's and at his worse in clutch situations.

Oh please stop! You think a .700 OPS is good enough? It's very below average for a power hitter. C'mon now! Besides that, his OPS for July was .616; August .637, and September was a paltry .445, yes .445!!!!!!! And just 9 HR's in the 2nd half. If he wasn't treated as a golden boy, he would have been sent back down a month ago like every other struggling young player. Stop including what he did before the league figured him out 3 months ago.

Yes, he was very good when pitchers would serve him up beach balls. Now that they have stopped doing that, he's completely lost and can't adjust his swing and easily fooled. And his best AA was .244 in 2023, and his best AAA were .214 in 2024 and .218 in 2025. He's clearly out of his league. He was at his best level in high A.

Colson's just not MLB material. He peaked at AA. He has just one big looping swing and it's beautiful when pitchers occasionally screw up and he's lost when they don't. Pitchers just eating him up. When was the last time, if ever, he purposely lined a hit to LF. He can't.

Me neither. I agree, he needs a recharge and learn to handle the bat better. He has just 1 swing, a do or die HR swing. I can never remember him lining a single to left field intentionally, not including jam shot bloops. It's beyond his skill level right now.
