  1. Me neither. I agree, he needs a recharge and learn to handle the bat better. He has just 1 swing, a do or die HR swing. I can never remember him lining a single to left field intentionally, not including jam shot bloops. It's beyond his skill level right now.
  2. And then he regressed at AAA to .329 in '24 and friggin .298 in '25! And his OPS was low .700's whereas PCA's was never below .800. What other of the "many ways" were they similar? The dude needs a lot of work, it's more than just a slump.
  3. Why would I want to look at Cam Raleigh, he sucks...all year! If it wasn't for his big contract, he'd probably be in AAA ball by now. Not sure your point. Do you think Colson headed to a .163 BA?
  4. PCA could hit AA & AAA pitching, Colson could not. .231 would be nice. Colson, at .214 is far from that.
  5. When it's virtually a 1/3 of a season its more than a slump. Also, his full season RISP BA is .190 and his BA after the 5th inning is .150. This is certainly not worth of a middle of the order hitter, just so little clutch. Even AJ & Wainwright were somewhat critical of him yesterday.
  6. even a blind squirrel....so many just plain bad pitches. Just 5 hr's in his last 170 AB's. Pitchers have figured his weaknesses. Now that he's a sucker for the "down & in" and misses by over a foot virtually every time, I would be surprised if that rate gets any better until he solves his "eye". He needs a lot of work.
  7. I'm so done with this guy. He's completely clueless and chases everything. It's been nearly 2 months of this junk. He's never hit above .245 higher than A+. He hit .214 & .218 in Charlotte in '24 & '25 respectively. He needs to go back to Win-Sal and try again. Some guys just hit their ceiling at a certain level and right now, Colson's seems to be a few levels down.
  8. Let me get this straight. The Sox acquire Bart for offense then keep Romo on the roster. Got it, oh wait, huh? Just because they didn't want to DFA Romo? Seriously? Who would pick him up off waivers? Cleveland or Minni for intel? I guess Romo will eventually be DFA'd when Teel is ready anyway then we'll see who claims him. Hopefully Bart has a much better feel for the strike zone than any of our catchers for ABS.
  9. Sox pitchers and catchers in sync and on a roll right now. Hopefully, that doesn't get f-ed up! Catchers learning pitchers takes a little while.
  10. Way undervalued is a catcher's familiarity with his pitching staff especially calling games. That doesn't happen overnight. Hopefully not too much disruption from the ride the pitchers are on right now.
  11. Hopefully, he gets his Pirate vibe back.
  12. I feed bad posting this. He seems like a really nice guy. He's got a good voice. But his baseball acumen is REALLY bad. Just the other day, he said the game was paused because a fan threw Colston's homer back on the field. It had hit the catwalk and the 2nd home run to do so that night but he didn't figure that out. He does this kind of stuff all the time. And he still can't figure out if a 400 ft'er has the distance to fly out until it lands. He's even hesitant on some of the no-doubters. It's kind of embarrassing. I want a baseball guy and preferably a long time Sox fan. That being said, he'll probably get resigned.
  13. There's no way they play this guy ahead of Pereira!
