  1. A troubling stat is that Colson has never hit over.250 in any season above A ball going on 6 years! Will so much SS talent in the system, his Sox (&MLB) future could be short-lived if he can't figure out how to hit in professional baseball. His swing has become so reckless and he is completely lost at the plate.
  2. For the year, Colson batting .188 w/RISP & .167 overall from the 6th inning on. Hasn't been very good since in NY, 33 games ago! Bene hitting .393 w/RISP, where would Sox be without him?
  3. Colston needs to go back to Phoenix. He's so lost pretty much since NY.
  4. DeGrom can get roughed up and given his season history he's just about due. But with 13 days off he's probably going to be pretty sharp.
  5. Thank your streaming TV for putting me back in touch with White Sox radio broadcasts. Kind of fun!
  6. Although, Detmers would be a very nice pickup for a modest price.
  7. Oh, I forgot about Japan and didn't realize it was that many IP. Thanks! Still, he does struggle to go 6 innings; just 3 times this year while still getting his pitch counts relatively high.
  8. Definitely need a quality starting pitcher
  9. Kay now has 93 IP, 60 IP more than his previous high in 2021. How many more innings does he have in him? Between he and Fedde's limited efficiency, so many pitches on their arms. Sox desperately need to acquire another starter if they want to ride this train into the playoffs. Both dudes have been tough as nails pros but how much will they have left come Sept?
  10. Nobody knows now what an agreement before and/or after a shutdown would look like.
  11. From a Sox perspective, Freddy Peralta would be the perfect pickup but such a huge market for him. He's got an unusually high era for him at 4.66 but is under contract for just 1 year at $8m. Sox wouldn't have to hold or pay him in a possible shutdown in 2027. 4.66 isn't all that bad and could improve with a change of scenery and a better pitching coach & manager and Sox clubhouse. Not sure if the Mets want to do business with Getz anymore though. lol But, can Fedde hold up as a starter the rest of the year? He seems like a perfect long reliever. Love his style and attitude but his arm might not be good enough down the stretch.
  12. Did I miss something or did Fox not announce that Peters (until his routine catch) or Muni came into the game defensively before their respective at bats? Ofc, they drooled all over PCA when he entered the game defensively, they wouldn't let us miss that.
  13. Sorry for jumping ahead but this roster is in a really good place already for 2027 and for years beyond. If there's no stoppage and Roch is ready for the show, just how does the roster look? If Acuna keeps ascending, it's going to be really hard to not keep him around, esp with his PR ability. I imagine they let Grichuk & Hays go but also have Pereira, Baldwin, & Perez waiting in the OF/DH wings. Time will tell, but what a sweet problem to have. So friggin exciting to be a Sox fan so soon after such an embarrassing horror show! I can't even begin to apologize to Getz for my very bad take on his hiring! I haven't been this wrong about a sports decision ever!
  14. Seems odd that Pitt wanted Gonzo. They already have 1 1/2 very good lefty 1B-men; Horwitz isn't a FA until 2031 and 1B/OF O'Hearn is signed through '27. It would make sense if Horwitz was a righty bat. And SS Griffin is signed through 2032. Where's he going to play? Maybe trade-bait?
  15. Woods was having a good year at AA Altoona. He's been pounded at AAA Indy but its only been 11 innings.
  16. Manfred is such a dufus! "Cha-lou-skee". After months (& years), how can you mispronounce his name? And his inability to perform his opening lines without a hard reading is really impressive! He couldn't take his eyes off the teleprompter. Just an out of touch idiot! Please Rob us of your presence!
  17. Oh geez! We got swept by a pretty hot BoSox and you're ready to sell sell sell! When I saw who The BoSox were throwing at us in the1st 2 games, I knew we were in trouble. Can we at least get Muni back before panicking?
  18. The White Sox catcher room was expected to be a major offensive weapon. Instead, it's one of the worst in baseball. It's cost us quite a few wins despite the Quero walk-off vs Cubs. So frustrating and confounding!
  19. It's probably been said before but with all the Sox's outstanding left-handed bats, I would prefer Cholowsky over Emerson.
  20. Too bad Orioles couldn't wait just 1 more game to bring Kremer back.
  21. Is there something wrong with Sam? Very odd lineup vs RHP. Rest Sam vs LHP. However, he did come out late last night as well.
  22. Just can't lose this game. They play so good then clunkers like this. KC's pitching lineup was so weak today and the Sox went so cold after the 2nd. Colston in a terrible slump, we needed him today. He's .184 for June & .147, no homers, & 1 2B since NY, all vs Central foes. Most of the few hits he's gotten lately have been jam shots & end of bat bloops and his error today was the difference. Back issues? If so, maybe he needs to sit for a few games.
