Is this a joke? I'm still wondering if the post the other day was a joke in saying if not for a few horrible offensive performances the team could have been 28-2 instead of 25-5. I'm assuming both are jokes.

I love how there's still criticism of the lineup when we have had recent 11 and 9 game win streaks. I just find it funny, that's all. I wonder how many games in the streak guys who have been criticized for either playing or batting too high actually contributed big time to yet another of the wins.

I thought people wanted me to be more negative. I get ripped for praising CQ and Bobby and Ozzie a lot. I said I like Peavy's attitude and wish him well. I also just said what ptatc wrote "doesn't sound good." And it doesn't. This injury sounds pretty s***ty to me and it's pretty easy to make the jump to the fact it's wasted money. I also said I don't care about that because the Sox and all teams deserve what they get in paying wasted contracts when pitchers go down. These contracts are ridiculous considering the nature of the arm/sthoulder in this day and age of pampering pitchers.

Funny but I've been reading all the threads on here and didn't see one mention of Ozzie making great moves last night. The Trib pointed out several.

Ptatc's evaluation doesn't sound good. As it turned out, Jake was a complete waste of money. He's a gamer and all, but it's money down the drain. And yes, I wish him the best in his recovery. It sucks he got hurt. I don't feel sorry for baseball teams that waste money like this, however. Giving pitchers multi year megabuck deals is just stupid in this day and age of coddling arms that in the best of times can't give a team more than 105 pitches a night. Nobody held a gun to the head of owners who brought this upon themselves.

Game threads don't seem to attract confident fans. There's usually a lot of doom and gloom. When the going gets tough, the posters don't like it.

I wish I was at all four games. Not as nerve wracking to be in the stadium.

Ha, the Internet message board psychology strikes again. Mock one sentence of my post, that I said shakes is da man. Oh the mocking works to put greg in his place, like it would in the playground, when in reality shakes had a reasonable post and it goes ignored. I really sting from the mockery. Keep it comin.

I love the criticism of Girardi on here. It backs my point that in any loss, the losing fans can point to a lot of things the manager supposedly did wrong. What if the AL rallies in the ninth? If Ortiz makes it to the base a second quicker and they get more on base and ARod hits a pinch homer to win it? Then fans and media are saying it's the best all star game ever and Girardi is a god. Not criticizing anybody, just again saying after every Sox loss you can (and many usually do) blame Oz just as everybody's blaming Girardi after last night's loss, which is like a Sox loss since we are AL fans.

Ha. Please remember this Jones love affair when you all call for Ozzie's head for playing him regularly the next couple weeks. You guys act like Quentin in right field is like having a stick figure out there. That the only way we'll get an out is if it is hit right at him. I told you I don't mind negativity but I can't even imagine taking time to write anything negative about CQ right now. You act like there's just a big green patch out there and anything hit out there will fall for a hit. Yeah, Quentin is sitting in a chair out there and ordered to not move. Great post. I just wanted the AL to keep winning so the commish would eventually have to do something. It's wrong the WS opens in AL parks every year. It is ridiculous this game counts for home field. The managers again did a nice job of getting almost everybody in the game. It's really a crapshoot as to which pitcher(s) don't have it since they use so many on both sides. It's a disgrace this carnival is for home field. What a joke. Just watching the postgame interview of Torii Hunter showed how he didn't give a f*** the AL lost. How can you care about a "game" like that? I'm also sick of these games starting in twilight with the shadows. Predictably, nobody could hit the ball tonight.
