  1. Well, thanks for representing. We definitely feel your pain. Oh for a win in Game 3 to prolong this agonizing month of contention.
  2. He pretty much has to play Griffey. KW acquired Griffey to put us over the top. The GM acquires the guy; the manager plays him. Granted it must be brutal to watch him play in the dome (I haven't gotten the 2 awful outcomes on TV here) but the manager has to play the guys the GM acquires.
  3. Great, if by some miracle we play that game, fat Freddy will no hit us. We Sox fans are paying the price for winning it all in '05. This season has been pretty painful despite our excellent overall won/loss record.
  4. It didn't work. It failed this time. So the answer to your question is No, at least not this week. I still say it was worth a shot. Maybe if he shut up, Javy would have felt less pressure and cruised. Hard to say.
  5. This team has sucked all of September for the most part. Sucked on the road for a long long time especially against decent to good teams. My only hope for tomorrow is that Minnesota has played like dung all month as well and shouldn't take all 3. They should s*** themselves one game of the three. We would not have swept them in the Cell. With full houses each day, we'd have won 2 of 3 maybe.
  6. What have the first 2 been like in person? Are the fans mocking us? It seems we've given their fans absolutely no reason this season to think we'll ever beat them in that dome. I'd think it's a big party in the dome. We come in there and we're the guests who let the hosts put on quite a party.
  7. Too late for such histrionics. Just win, baby.
  8. Our pitching held them tonight and we lost. Odds ain't good. Let's hope Twins for once play like the mediocre team they are and we salvage one game.
  9. Ouch. It will take a minor miracle after the sweep.
  10. No offense, but Floyd is due to get roughed up in a "big" game. I pray otherwise, but I sense an 11-1, 12-1 laugher. Our only hope is to get back home, sweep and hope Meche and Greinke have something left.
  11. I'm more sad than anything else. It's no fun for your team to lay over and die again in the Humpdome. The Twins simply aren't that good.
  12. We rarely win when we don't hit multiple home runs. Case closed. As far as turning over the roster, when we don't make the playoffs that probably will happen. KW better make smart moves, though. There's no guarantee switching philosophies to a speedier team will help us in the standings. Two runs in such a big game? Ridiculous.
  13. What can you say? I hate to kick a dead horse. But we are a dead horse.
  14. Oh well, in a week or so all anybody will be talking about is the Cubs anyway. Barring a miracle, we are toast. How we are so many games over .500 is beyond me. We ain't gots a very good team, folks. The only good thing is Mariotti isn't around to remind us of how bad we are tanking in Minnie every single day. One more day of this then it's back to the Cell one half game out.
  15. I think he's going to whiff two of three, but pop ups are a possibility as well.
  16. I'm not embarrassed, just shocked at our play in September, on the road and against winning teams.
  17. No he ain't. This series was written in the baseball books weeks ago. We can't win in Minnie.
  18. The Cell will be so ugly. Our fans will boo the troops mercilessly after getting swept here. It will really be sad and ugly.
  19. We all should have bet our life savings on the sweep. It was the most obvious happening of the baseball season. It was staring us in the face weeks ago.
  20. At least it's only going to get worse. After they sweep us, it's still not over. There's still a chance of getting swept by Cleveland or the possibility of two more after that, losing to Detroit and then to Minnie in the playoff.
  21. I'd like to hear from the Sox fans at the game. I bet the Twins fans are mocking the Sox. Everybody in Minnesota knew they'd sweep us. We can't win there.
  22. We've trailed this entire series, haven't we? Nice baseball.
  23. Hawk's right. The question is can we win one game this series? I'd say odds of that are about 20-80 or 10-90.
  24. Expect another beatdown. Then if we win you'll be surprised and happy. I got bad vibes. Losing game one was not a good idea.
