  1. Our fans won't boo Frank, will they? It should be a loud ovation at least the first time he's up.
  2. Fathom said: "If Pods can't succesfully steal, that's fine. Stay on the base, and try to go from first to third on a single or try not to hurt yourself jogging around the bases on a Thome homer. It's unacceptable how bad he's become on fundamentals. How can you continue to fail to get every bunt attempt down?" I agree with Fathom. He just shouldn't run if he can't steal the base. If he's failing because he's not 100 percent, then pardon me Pods. If he's healthy, though, his getting thrown out all the time is a concern.
  3. I am still not confident in Judy though.... Good God, you are still calling him Judy after what he did in the postseason last year?
  4. Like everybody is saying I think Oz respects the game and won't take somebody who is hitting .270, but he's gonna take a lot of Sox iwhich is only reasonable considering we're World Champs. Right now, Iguchi has to be considered as well as Thome, Mark B, Jose, Konerko, Jenks, Dye and A.J.
  5. I loved Maggs but Dye has been incredible. MVP of the Series means he'll be beloved in Chicago til he dies and after.
  6. The count is so good it's scary. Bobby is amazing. Thome is co-MVP of April with Count. Oz continues to push right buttons. In retrospect, it's nice Count didn't have to complete the game and still got the win. Great April boys!
  7. We win; Halos lose. Too bad Cali.
  8. is bobby throwing strikes; i dont get the game
  9. I like the move; if Cotts is hot, leave him in.
  10. Wow, Oz has a hunch? Leavin Cotts in?
  11. As long as the Sox keep winnin (knock on wood for tonight) I guess Oz and KW can continue to be patient with BA.
  12. What's the feeling bout Anderson these days. He still ain't doing too much at the plate.
  13. Thanks for the summaries Now the question is ... do ya leave Cotts in?
  14. I've missed the game thus far. Can somebody describe it in 10 words or less?
  15. Plus Jenks is no strike throwing machine, either.
  16. The North Dakotan does sound like a Cub fan to me. I'd just keep asking him questions about the Sox whenever you see him and keep suggesting you go to more games ... Sox games! When I was a kid it was funny my grandpa was a Cub fan and so was my uncle but the rest of the family loved the Sox. I'd go with my grandfather to a lot of Cub games to keep him company. I was about 10. Those Cub games were sold out so much many times I'd be in one seat and he'd be a couple aisles away. I guess he had to buy single tickets to get us in. He was such a nice guy he'd never much brag about the Cubs or anything. He must have known deep down I preferred THE SOX!
  17. Greg...we're not talking about actually acquiring Sizemore. This is a decade old argument we've had with jphat that he'd rather have Pods as a leadoff hitter than Sizemore. Oh, OK, sorry bout that. I would prefer last year's Pods. But I fear he may be about done. Like you said if he can only steal 50 percent of the time we're screwed.
  18. There is a big reason why ozzie is the manager of the world champions and your padding your post count whining in a forum. --great line. made me laugh on this dismal night. I love Oz.
  19. Saying that you would rather have Sizemore starting in LF over Podsednik is not being negative -- it's being realistic. No it isn't. We can't get Sizemore so why even care about that? I wish we had Rowand instead of Pods, tho Pods has been hot lately.
  20. Nothing is more frustrating than watching a close 3-0 pitch called a strike, then the next pitch out of the zone popped up. Hard to have baserunners when players are popping up pitches out of the zone in full counts. I would agree with that. That indeed sucks.
  21. Is anybody on here a Widger fan? Please convert me. I've never been high on the guy.
  22. Did anybody expect Iguchi to hit like this? Knock on wood, keep it going! He has been awesome. And what a career Konerko has made for himself in Chicago. That is turning out to be one of the best acquisitions in Sox history. Who did we trade for him? He is a STUD! Go Sox!
  23. It's quiet, but I just read the suntimes, trib and southtown and the columnists are all over Reinsdorf about the hair thing. I see Freddie is not pleased. Interesting. Cotts doesn't seem too thrilled, either, though AJ and Crede are taking it in good fun. I notice Moronotti and the Southtown guy are calling Reinsdorf out of touch with hairstyles.
  24. Money will ultimately decide this issue. How true.
