The Bathroom Dilemma
QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 11, 2016 -> 09:20 PM) What is it that they need protecting from? 90 percent of the time the parents are "protecting" little Johnny and Jane they don't need protecting from anything.

The Bathroom Dilemma
QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ May 11, 2016 -> 09:22 PM) Hold on. You were so disgusted that you wouldn't stand in line for a sandwich, but you would not problem taking a leak next to the guy? Also, Greg, you still haven't described how you would police this. Do you want women with short hair and basketball shorts subjected to what happened in the link below? Do you want someone checking genitalia before people enter restrooms? http://jezebel.com/helpful-man-patrols-tex...your-1773882994 Yeah I'd take a leak next to the guy because he's using the bathroom, IMO the right bathroom. I happen to be in the bathroom at the same time, yes I'd use it. ... I told you I wasn't proud of myself for not wanting to eat after seeing the guy in a dress and high high heels waddle up to the door of Subway ahead of me. But at that time my human weaknesses hit and I wasn't particularly hungry as I found him unattractive to the eye. As far as policing it, if a guy is wearing women's clothes I'd expect him to have the decency to use the men's room if he has his male body part.

The Bathroom Dilemma
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 11, 2016 -> 03:47 PM) Greg, just so we are clear here: If a man with a penis identifies himself as a woman and is dressed as a woman, technically he/she should piss next to you at the urinal, correct? Or would you hold it and use a different bathroom? I thought I was clear on that. Yes he should be next to me in the men's room. No, I wouldn't walk out. I'd even have respect for the guy doing it in what I feel is the right way. I have admitted I didn't go in the Subway to eat when the person dressed in heels and a dress who was obviously a man that I did not find attractive was walking strides ahead of me. Note I did not yell at him or hit him or scream at him, I just chose to not go in the restaurant and eat at that time. Again, if that makes me the worst person ever, sorry to the universe. I must need counseling or something to become a better person. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 11, 2016 -> 03:51 PM) i have asked him multiple times and he has yet to answer. It all goes back to OMG THERE IS A PENIS IN THE WOMENS ROOM. I wonder if he feels a woman transitioning to a man should have to tell everyone about the female parts before taking a pee? We just need to make a Customs-like kiosk in front of every bathroom in the united states, where everyone has to declare what is in their pants. I thought it was clear. I want the person with a male body part using the men's room. If that makes me an ogre, sorry. I am a little surprised the parents in this country who protected little Johnny and Jane from everything imaginable in this day and age aren't on my side in this one.

QUOTE (bmags @ May 11, 2016 -> 04:26 PM) I'm very serious in this comment. I don't have time for the woe is me of Sanders supporters. You don't have time for uh, fairness? The man is the first underdog in memory to be scratching, clawing (for votes) and WINNING an awful lot of the time and discarded to the curb (via the media) like he's Howard Stern running for office or something. This is not a joke, folks; Bernie fever should be catching but the Chris Matthews' of the world are shilling so badly for Hillary and getting away with it.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 11, 2016 -> 08:29 AM) As far as the delegate race, if Bernie was within 100 of Hilary's lead (not counting the superdelegates), he'd have a point....but coming into last night it was closer to 300. Yes, but supposedly America loves a good underdog story. America loves a close horse-race. Cept when it involves the beloved Clinton family (by media). Bernie wins .... yet he loses (on TV with pundits) time and time and time again. Nothing to see here folks. Bernie has no chance!!! (as he receives the winners trophy; not a participation trophy AGAIN, this time in W. Va.) QUOTE (bmags @ May 11, 2016 -> 02:23 PM) Bernie's main reason to stay in race is same as clintons was in 08, a desire to let all of his supporters cast their vote for him. He'll drop out after california. They do deserve that, he was a strong candidate, with high enthusiasm levels. Yeah, Bernie isn't getting a kick out of ... WINNING. The old man's "main reason" for staying in race is to be nice to his supporters. How condescending. Bernie is blazing in case you haven't noticed (albeit it's hard to notice cause of media). QUOTE (bmags @ May 11, 2016 -> 03:59 PM) But I'm sure it's because the 10 octogenarians that watch cable news didn't get fair coverage for Bernie. What? I didn't know cable news was failing with any age group but octo's. You hear about it an awful lot for it being watched by ... nobody? I don't watch it live; I watch the replays after Bernie wins to see if they give his victory a fair shake, then turn it off after 10 minutes, upon checking each channel and hearing them mock him. QUOTE (bmags @ May 11, 2016 -> 04:12 PM) Clinton is smart, experienced, and committed to actually governing the country. This is what confounds me. You believe that?? Sir ... Clinton is not what you say. She is actually rich, well connected and committed to her place in history, not actually governing the country. That's kind of a sidelight to accomplishing the former. Her ego is bigger than the sun. You actually described Bernie WAY more than Hillary.

White Privilege?
More on political correctness crap. George Carlin, then Dennis Miller/Bill Maher. Nice. "They are pampered little pricks," is how Maher referred to college kids. "Who did not slap these little assholes when they were young." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkhUivqzWv0

Ventura will earn his extension the next 43 games
After tonight's debacle I agree he should be judged after this season.

QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ May 11, 2016 -> 06:30 AM) Just some more thoughts on the abortion tonight. Still so pissed off I'm shaking. Now we'll see if the bubble bursts. Ventura lost this game, flat out lost it with his bullpen usage. Here's the way I look at it. I know Robertson pitched Sunday and Monday. I know Jones has pitched a lot but WITH AN OFF DAY THURSDAY and having to face Cole Hamels in an afternoon game after an extra inning game on Monday and after a long game Tuesday because of the delay you do EVERYTHING YOU HAVE TO DO TO WIN THE GAME and take the series. Period. You can not lose this game and the Sox did it in spectacular fashion. Letting Carroll go back out there, a guy who has no business being in the major leagues also didn't help matters. Just a devastating loss. I'm speechless right now. They REALLY need Latos to pitch well Wednesday, have got to have it...and it may not matter even if he does, Hamels has won 11 consecutive decisions, one off the Rangers record. Mark That is a great post. Robin and the Sox wear clown suits tonight. It was a horrible horrible loss. Worst imaginable loss. We'll see if we flop or not. You are right. They really did need to hold the 5 run lead in the eighth and win the series cause tomorrow odds of winning are about 20-80 after this game.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 11, 2016 -> 04:28 AM) Bernie keeps winning the small states. Hillary keeps winning the big ones. What is so hard about that for you to grasp? Just watched the late night shows; lasted 15 minutes. Had to turn 'em off. The excuse was West Virginia was nothing to Hillary. She's running as an extension of Obama and W. Va voters hate Obama so she knew she'd lost and did. Also all 3 political networks immediately cut to the delagate count rather than saying Bernie had any momentum. They just want to keep Hillary in charge and keep the people believing Bernie has never had a chance so don't fret it now. I wish the pundits would just admit they want Hillary. If she ever did get indicted that would be hilarious cause I firmly believe she'd still win. "She got unfairly indicted. She did nothing wrong." She'd be President til the day the iron door slammed shut with her in the cell.

I just hate to give away a game. I firmly believe if Carroll is in the minor leagues where he belongs the odds are we can get the final six outs without giving up five or more runs. We've avoided the clown-like losses so far this season. Somehow just have to forget this one. But the picture of Coop in the dugout in the latter innings said it all. Coop looked fricking pissed at such an inept bullpen performance.

Carroll reminds me of Humber. Didn't he have 9 lives with the organization as well? Release him and maybe KC will pick him up and we still have to play KC 19 times.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 11, 2016 -> 05:50 AM) Omg you all are terrible. Never seen more overacting in my life. Feel sorry for you all. It's a 162 game regular season...s*** happens and you move on. At the very least, you have to admit this result deserved the line Hawk used, "You've got to be bleeping me."

5/10 - White Sox @ Rangers Game Thread
Good call by Hawk using the You Gotta Be Bleeping Me line. Oh well ... this is a reminder this is the big leagues and it's not gonna be as easy as it may seem this season. Horrific loss. One of the worst losses humanly possible cause the Rangers are gonna carry that mojo into the day game tomorrow and one loss will likely become two. BUT the good news is we've won so many games, including some we should have lost, so the team needs to man up and somehow forget about this one, chalking it up to the fact Nate and David were unavailable and Austin didn't get a great jump that he needed on that rocket to right center. Robin, my man, who I've praised failed tonight. The bullpen was total horses***! Horrible, horrible, baseball loss. But ... it has absolutely no effect on the big picture unless we melt like mental midgets.

QUOTE (Elgin Slim @ May 11, 2016 -> 05:45 AM) Guys, Robertson and Jones were unavailable tonight. What are you going to do? Robin had no choice but to put the schmucks out there. . Really sad Robertson wasn't available to win this one for us. We need GOOD pitchers in against a GOOD team on the road. This loss is partly on Hahn. Carroll shouldn't be on our 40man roster.

5/10 - White Sox @ Rangers Game Thread
I'm not going to completely melt down because of all the wins we've had, but the first mistake tonight and the hugest mistake was (obviously) putting Carroll in the game. You can't expect to win a major league game on the road pitching a guy like Carroll. Putting in a guy with the talent of a Carroll encourages a good team like the Rangers to not write this one off as an L just yet! Like I said, team has to shake this one off. You are going to blow games in the course of a season. Obviously Austin Jackson got a bad read but like they say defense suffers when pitchers keep you out there forever. Horrible loss ... man up and move on. Like I said it's difficult to blow a five run lead that late in the game and we did it.

Well, Sox will have to shake this one off. Totally inexcusable loss, but it happened. Move on.
