Using “could care less” is one of pet peeves along with using “first annual” instead of “inaugural” and calling something ironic that is not ironic merely coincidental at best. Alanis Morrisette’s song really pisses me off. The only thing ironic about it is not one damn thing is ironic. 😁

Dreaming the dream. Sox best case post-season scenario. Yankees catch the Rays, win the East. 1 seed. Rays are the #1 WC thus the 4 seed. Red Sox snatch the #2 WC. 5 seed. Sox win the Central. 2 seed. Guardians are the last wild card. 6 seed. Astros win the west. 3 seed. Yankees/Rays/Red Sox play an eastern division shown down bracket. 4 seed Rays beat the 5 seed Red Sox in the WC round. Then beat the 1 seed Yankees in the ALDS. Sox beat whoever wins the wild card round between Astros and Guardians in the ALDS. Sox vs Rays in the ALCS with hone field advantage. (Does the higher seed get home field in the ALCS regardless of record?) Why not the White Sox!

These Rays uniforms are awful!

From the umpire’s perspective I would think those two early challenges are helpful. Allows him to get a feel for the real strike zone and, hopefully, adjust calls accordingly.
