As always reading game threads after a win is hilarious. Go Sox. They’re winning the division and getting the 2 seed. Will managed a great game tonight.

The Sox last 10 are four vs Detroit who has thrown in the towel. Three at KC. Currently playing frisky but we’ll see in a month and three vs the Rockies who are shitshow A or shitshow B to the Angels A. That’s a 7-3 or 8-2 run to the division title after getting one at Cleveland to secure the tie-breaker. Division champs and 2 seed. Book it! LFG.

Is the magic number to clinch a playoff spot 24? It seems to me the Rangers are the team to compute that against and we hold the tie-breaker against them.

I enjoy reading game threads after an easy win. Lots of unintentional humor.

I was referencing game 2 of the Cubs series. It’s a silly stat that carries little meaning.

Example. Taylor comes in with two on and 0 outs in the 7th in a one run game. Gets the first two out. Gives up a single to score the tying run. Blown save per the stats. Yet he was never going to be the pitcher in the 9th to get the save even had he not given up the game tying run which wasn’t his runner anyway. Flawed stat.

And they didn’t.

Apropos to nothing the Cubs just got walked off with 2 outs in the 9th. Damn.

I thought Friday’s was better but that may have been DJ’s, “Now let’s celebrate! Let’s jump up and down! I love it!” The shot at Yan made me giggle.

Although this would have been perfectly acceptable for today. My youngest noticed Peters’ birthday is February 29 and speculated that’s why he chose #29.

I know you’re making a joke but the easy answer is don’t be out. They’re tough-minded. Not the best team but it sure seems like they enjoy playing for each other and they compete like crazy. That’s good enough for me.
