You’re being pretty optimistic.

I’m sorry, but I can’t get over that Vargas stat. It’s so bad, it’s comical.
-
This is an amazing stat!

The pick was originally traded to the Mavs. Dallas traded it to the Lakers.

It was Worthy in ‘82.

Tito Fucking Landrum, that is his given name is it not, was the PTBNL from the Orioles to the Cardinals after being traded the other direction.

“Scouts’ voices are being marginalized in favor of analysts and the results are no better.” I don’t think this is the dig that the person who said it thinks it is. -
And made it look easy. RIP.

I know a couple of pro athletes, former pro athletes actually. It’s a job. They go through the stresses and joy like anyone with a job, high paying or lower level. Hell, one of them didn’t even like the sport he played. He was just really good at it and it paid well. Yes, it’s easier to empathize with those that don’t make millions of dollars. That makes sense. However, to think human beings are going to be all in because you (the collective you, not you personally) think they’re playing a “kids game” and you know you’d never let up is ridiculous on its face. Maybe because I’m in the sports world as a career I’ve become cynical. I assume most athletes are like everyone else and have days they’d rather not work sort of like the rest of us. edit: And like in any field there are those that are highly motivated, those that are in the middle and those that are lazy. There are gung ho rookies and vets just trying to hang on and everything in between. I give points to Kopech for honesty and it would make me trust him more.

As a Packer fan why MLF didn’t take the FG at 19-14 is beyond me. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.

Jerry Reinsdorf open to selling the White Sox per Britt Ghiroli
JTB replied to Sleepy Harold's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If you, the collective you not Chick specifically, can’t enjoy the successes of your favorite team regardless of sport or level then I don’t know why you would watch. I’m mean that sincerely. Winning is incredibly hard and when it’s accomplished, no matter the flukiness or luck involved, it needs to be celebrated. Otherwise why even play the games. -

The AL and NL basically don’t matter anymore. It’s all under the MLB umbrella. Sox leave its 100% Cubs town and I become a Brewers fan. -
There’s the sarcasm that Taylor is looking for. 😂

LFG. Let’s do this! Why not the Sox! -
I think it can be argued that Sheets has reached his potential already. 😂

9-73 in ‘72-‘73. Bobcats had a worse winning % in the lockout year (7-59).
