Just wanted to go ahead and give everyone the heads up that a few of the posters are planning a meeting at the Saturday game on May 15th versus Minnesota. Tenatively we are going to meet outside in the parking lot before the game and then possibly at the fan deck at some point during the game as well. (I'll have details and specifics as we get closer to the game.) I know that myself, Steff and hopefully 2K4 will be there and I hope some of you other posters can join us as well as I personally look forward to meeting anyone who wants to join us. Just make a post in this thread so we can get a general idea of how big of a gathering we can expect to have and then we can go from there on nailing down the specifics of where/what time we will meet. Talk of a deal has died down considerably and I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that nothing is going to happen until the offseason unless the Sox brass decides to throw out a major offer to Magglio that he can't refuse. These negotiations should have never become public in the first place.

I wouldn't say I know a player personally, but there's a player that I have spoken to on a several occasions in the past and this past spring in AZ and knows of me. I feel confident he would do a chat if it were moderated properly. Anyhow, that is what I am going to be asking about and hopefully if everything falls into place we can make that happen.

I will be attending a Knights game here in Louisville on Saturday, May 8th and thanks to Jason, I'll have a press pass for the game. I've decided that it'd be great for the site if some of our posters would be interested in having questions answered by the players. Obviously I won't be able to ask every question, but the best ones posted I will get answered and post the answers here on the site. So here's your chance to ask Reed, Borchard, Grilli, Sanders or anyone else on the Charlotte roster a question...Post them here and I'll select the best ones I receive for use. Look forward to hearing what you guys have to ask and the responses from the players as well. Along with that, I'd like to also mention that I am going to inquire with a few players about the possibility of doing a chat on the site, similar to the one held with Bullard. Who knows, I think they've got a pretty decent staff in Colon, Escobar, Ortiz, Lackey and guys like Bobby Jenks and Ervin Santana in the minors... Of course their OF looks good with Guillen, Anderson and Vlads right now, but I'm sure Tim Salmon will go down at some point this season and I'd be willing to bet his career is in decline... Not that Anaheim would do the deal, I was just throwing a name out there and I'm sure there are others as well...

Manning, easily... Rivers will be good and Roethlesburger a bust...

Trade Lee for a cheaper starter (possibly Washburn) and bring up Reed. It'll save us money and we'll have a better chance at signing Maggs or someone else from the rich free agent crop that's going to be out there this winter.
