Gotta disagree with you on Ozzie as a player. Although I was merely a young teenager during his time with the Sox, I can also say that there's no way he could have been viewed as overrated, because he was never viewed as more than a solid SS with the Sox. Never claimed to be a stud player and never was. He did the little things, never caused problems and played hard. Gotta respect him for that.

I would not mind Ozzie for a few reasons. The main reason being that while he will be a player's manager who will be able to relate well with everyone in the clubhouse, he won't be afraid to light a fire under some of the guys in our clubhouse who need it. I also believe he won't tolerate any play that's not 110%. He's not my first choice, but I'd be fine with him.

And always will be losers. It's great to see the "best 2 pitchers" in Chicago choke it up big time. Makes me appreciate Buehrle even more.

Glad to see Reed continuing his stellar play. Hope he gets a shot to make the club in the spring, he surely deserves it.

Then maybe Ed Farmer is the one who can't tell a flyball from a HR. I like Hawk because even in a blowout, he keeps you interested by talking about stories from when he played and about how the game was back in his day. I find it to be a good learning experience. And Hawk doesn't need anyone to "carry him", but to each his own I guess. I respect everyone's opinion. A sox fan is a friend in my book...You like Hawk, I like Roons, we both like the Sox.... Let's drink to that.
