Wake up. Turn on Howard Stern. Take a shower while listening to Howard, who is usually interviewing a hot chick. Get out of shower, brush teeth, comb hair, put on deodorant and some cologne, get dressed (sometimes iron). Eat breakfast. Drive to school and continue listening to Howard. Arrive at school. Sulk my way into class, since I don't want to be there.

I'm old and married...I don't have to be smooth. "Are you tired?" "No" "OK, let's do it". That is as smooth as you have to be. Romance Schmomance. Damn straight, if you've gotta be "smooth" just to get a kiss, you've got a long life ahead of you....
  3. Although it looks as though they beefed up the Colon deal significantly, I still don't think it will be enough to nab him.
  4. From this week's Baseball Weekly: - The White Sox have offered Bartolo Colon a three-year deal for about $40 million to keep him from free agency. - Cito Gaston, Buddy Bell and Robin Yount are the three favorites for the White Sox's manager job.
  5. As reported in today's Baseball Weekly: The White Sox have no plans to interview Double-A manager Wally Backman for their managerial opening after learning that Backman was backstabbing former manager, Jerry Manuel. Backman allegedly called Twins manager Ron Gardenhire (a teammate with the Mets in the 1980s) before their critical September series against the White Sox, telling him to "kick their (tails) so I can get Manuel's job." "He was calling here all the time telling us how he wanted us to beat the White Sox," revealed one Twins coach. "It was brutal. Nice team guy, huh?" Another Twins coach confirmed the story.
  6. http://www.courier-journal.com/cjsports/ne...r1015-3439.html I'd say he's U of L bound, which means I may get to see him play a few times before he goes on to be a star in the league.

Fox is already planning a reality show about the guy in the event the Cubs lose the NLCS. Rumor is that on the finale of the show a group of Cubs fans will drown him along with a goat in freezing water....
  8. I noticed that too... Looks like we have a Sharon Stone on our hands...

I do hope you know I was exaggerating Clu My point was that he didn't do anything wrong, he went after the ball, which is what any fan in that situation would do.

What did Jeffery Maier do.......I heard people bring his name up but never knew what he did to benefit the Yankees I think he's the kid who made Derek Jeter's hit against Baltimore in the late 90's into a HR.... Correct. Tony Tarrasco (spelling) was camped under it for an out, and that 12 year old kid reached out and robbed it, and the blind umpires called it a HR. I know they had something about him on Outside the Lines Nightly the other night, but I didn't catch all of it. Apparently he's now a pretty good baseball player in college...

I agree, what else are you supposed to do, let the ball hit you in the face while you stand there?
