  1. Easley was cut before the season, a sign the Tigs are serious about cutting losses and moving on into the future. I don't think anyone in Detroit is down on Higginson. If their GM and manager stay the course, they should be a contender in a few years. They may not be down on Higginson, but there is no question his contract is bad and he is being overpaid big time. He might be a solid player, but he doesn't deserve to make what he is making.
  2. Konerko will probably be lucky to get a start in this series.
  3. What about Mags and Garland to the Blue Jays for Vernon Wells and prospects? Would anyone do this?
  4. Lineups are now available: CF Harris 2B Jimenez 1B Thomas RF Ordonez DH Daubach LF Lee SS Valentin 3B Crede C Olivo LF Jones SS Guzman 3B Koskie DH Morneau CF Hunter 1B Mientkiewicz RF Kielty C Pierzynski 2B Hocking E-Lo vs. Reed
  5. We traded my favorite Sox reliever, Mr. Foulke who is now the third best closer in baseball behind Gagne and Smoltz.
  6. Borchard won't be traded, case closed.
  7. Tony Danza is the real boss
  8. There's no reason to trade Garland, he is turning the corner with 6 of his last 7 being quality starts.
  9. Agreed, Sanchez will most likely be the everyday second baseman for the Red Sox next season.
  10. For a sweep we'd have to beat Cy Mays, which won't be an easy task given our past against him.
  11. 1) Sox 2) Harris 3) 1 4) Lee 5) 3 6) 2 7) Magglio 8) Yes 9) Sox 10) No Tiebreaker: 8
  12. There is no player in baseball right now I'd trade Pujols for straight up, that's how good he is.
  13. I don't care if the Cubs win if it helps us as well. But thats because I have nothing against the Cubs. I typically root for them unless they are playing the Sox. No Sox fan roots for the Cubs, EVER, case closed.
  14. Neither one is an everyday player, so it doesn't really matter to me either way. Olivo should catch as many games as he can.
  15. If Im not mistaken, Isnt Buehrle a FA this offseason and has an arbtration hearing? He has an arbitration hearing, but he's not a FA. You aren't a FA unless you have 6 years of MLB service time and you get arbitration after 3 years of service.
  16. Buehrle and it won't be close. I say he still wins at least 14 this season.
  17. I'm sticking with my original idea, don't start Buehrle in Minny.
  18. June 22, 2003 - 1:11 p.m. A scout said Reed's back still appeared to be bothering him in his first start after coming off the disabled list. He allowed seven runs in 3.2 innings. (Ken Rosenthal/TSN) Fantasy Spin: Don't be shocked by another trip to the DL for Reed. I'll be surprised if he starts.
  19. I heard Reed was hurt again, but can't confirm. If he is, Santana would most likely start in his place.

    White Sox

If Jimenez is the SS, it's going to be a long year. He doesn't have enough range to play short. Harris won't be the centerfielder, Borchard will be. PK could be moved if there are any takers in the offseason. Rauch could crack the rotation, I don't see the Sox using him in a relief role. I like Munoz for a bullpen spot.

    Koch

He was overworked last season, look at the numbers.
  22. Gotta get the job done now off Borowski, good job by White.
