  1. All of you Jordan slurpers need to quit hating on Kobe. He's not better than Jordan, everyone knows that. Right now, he's the best player in the league. He's got 3 rings. He could win more. He just dropped 81 in a game. He's a perennial all-star and a first team all-defense. The guy himself wouldn't even say he's better than Jordan, but lord, give him some credit. The guy is a beast.
  2. Kobe has 81. P.S. He's the best player in the NBA.
  3. Did Iowa actually have a team at the game today or was it just their practice squad?
  4. VIP Garland session pass received today. Woot Woot.
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 10:13 AM) Thanks to some extreme generousity, I will see everybody Friday!!! Great news, look forward to seeing you Mike.
  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 20, 2006 -> 09:47 AM) Just saw this Boz... Awwww... BTW.. Houlihans said no way Jose to a reserved dinner. Can't blame them.. we barely got them to give us the tables we needed last year.. so how about brunch/lunch on Saturday..? Looks like Brian isn't going to make it this year so we won't have to worry about waiting on him to crawl off the floor before we can eat. :rolly Sounds good to me. Depending on the weather, I don't plan on even leaving the hotel. Who all is coming with you? I'll have one of my friends who was with me last year, my gf and of course the liability named Jason. Also, any word on why Mark won't be there again this year? Thought you may know.
  7. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse for the Red Sox.... It did. Hell I hope he gets to play regularly for them next year. Another easy out when we face Boston. The Sons of Sam Horn don't like the move either: http://sonsofsamhorn.net/index.php?showtopic=3063
  8. QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 04:59 PM) LMAO!!! I got my letter a couple weeks ago. I didn't get anything and I booked super early. Damn that sucks. Oh well, the chance to spend quality time with Steff supercedes any special autograph session.
  9. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Jan 18, 2006 -> 01:24 AM) I think this game showed that Ohio State and Wiscy are the cream of the crop in trhe Big 10. Michigan St beat them, on their floor.

    TV In Your Bedroom?

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jan 16, 2006 -> 10:43 PM) 32 inch LCD mounted on the wall. Hi Def is awesome. What brand?
  11. QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 11:39 PM) i wish i could ban people. I can.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 10:52 PM) If St. Johns holds onto this then Louisville falls to 1-3 in conf and is definitely in some trouble. They still have road games at UCONN, Cuse, Nova, Cinci, WVU, and Rutgers, yikes. They also play UConn at home, which will be a loss for sure.
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 10:45 PM) Louisville down 10 with under 8 to go. Not surprising, Taquan Dean is not playing and well, quite frankly, I truly believe that U of L may not even make the tourney. Reason being, I think they go .500 or less in the Big East and their non-conference schedule was so horrid that they really have no signature win. Getting blown out by Kentucky didn't help either. Clearly the most overrated team in the land.
  14. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 17, 2006 -> 10:29 PM) Definitely a game of runs. We always start slow, but that was just ugly. It looked like you guys were just going to rout us in our own building. Then, we started to hit the trey ball. Wilmont was definitely huge, and he was able to get us up to that 15 point lead. And Killingsworth finally got things working in the 2nd half. Yes, he's had some cheap shots the past couple games. I acknowledge that, but they haven't affected the outcome of the game. The best thing IU did tonight was rebound though. If they can do that against a bigger Illinois, there's no reason we shouldn't be doing that every night. We've been getting out rebounded badly all season. It was nice to see us finally limit second chance points, and have some second chance opportunities of our own. We needed this though, if we're going to do anything in the Big Ten. You have to protect home court, and we survived. And for the record, I did NOT rush the court, though I had a great seat and could have. Had you rushed the court, you would have been subject to prolonged ridicule from me. Good post though and I agree with mostly everything.
  15. Rushing the floor? Is ILL ranked No.1 or something? I guess that's just what happens when you are no longer an elite program. Something like that would never happen on Izzo's watch.
  16. Although IU is my second favorite team, I would find it quite hilarious for the guy who was talking s*** earlier to have to drown in a sea of tears if IU does indeed blow this game. You know, the guy with the Killingsworth sig who hasn't posted during this run.
  17. I don't like what I've seen out of Killingsworth as far as sportsmanship goes lately. I definitely thought he took a cheap shot at Davis in the game at Michigan State and he's taken some questionable shots at ILL players tonight. Good player, most definitely. He needs to work on controlling his emotions and being a bit more classy though. Also, ILL fans need not jump off of a bridge. Everyone is still in it as far as the Big 10 goes. Just gotta find some ways to beat Wisconsin, who I believe only plays at home versus IU and ILL, which leads to an easier schedule than most.
  18. Don't expect this game to be hard to find. It's not going to be a huge release at all. You should be able to get it without preordering.
  19. This game is very important for IU. Gotta hold serve at home in the Big 10. I think if Brown gets hot as he has been known to do, it could be a long night for the Hoosiers. However, I think the combo of Vaden and Killingsworth get it done at home. I'm not much for predictions, but I think IU should pull it out by 4 or 5. PS Someone needs to beat Wisconsin and soon.
  20. Great news, get the Rally Crede ready for another playoff run.
  21. I started this last year and I'm gonna start it up again this year. A few things: First, the list of attendees thus far: Even more important, I'd like to know who all is going to be there from Soxtalk. This will be my third straight Soxfest and joining me for the second straight year will be none other than Jason Gage himself, Mr. Soxtalk. Still holding out hope that Mike (ss2k5) will make a one-day appearance and most certainly Steff will be in attendance. Last year I ran into Addy and I'm hoping he'll be back again this year. So, who's in and who's out for Soxfest? Also, please feel free to post pictures from this year's fest (or past years if you'd like) or any further details on the event. Consider this the official place to talk Soxfest in the days leading up to and following the event. Hope to see some of you there.
