QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 16, 2008 -> 06:22 PM) Rookie question, but what does GO/AO mean? I figured GO was groundout, but what is AO, Airout? If so, why wouldn't it be GO/FO? AO is air out. It wouldnt be FO because not all "air outs" are fly balls. (ie. Line drives)

QUOTE (juddling @ May 16, 2008 -> 10:10 AM) Another good episode to start winding down the season last night. A couple of reveals last night as well..... also..... I'm pretty sure its the same car. Also I didnt think we needed spoiler tags anymore for stuff that has already happened

QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 16, 2008 -> 12:51 AM) From IMDB: Returning Fox: 24 Oh Jack Bauer, how i've missed thee...

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 16, 2008 -> 04:23 AM) It's flip-cup. Fixed.

Manny gave a fan in the outfield a high five after his momentum carried him into the wall...he then proceeded to hit the cutoff man you doubled off the runner at first haha...i love Manny. I know many people are annoyed by him, but he truly is the definition of someone who loves what he does

AAAA player. If anyone were to be called up I'd want it to be Wise, but neither of them are difference makers
-
Sam Crawford 51 career inside-the-park HRs and 12 in one season...of course that is because of the different eras.
-
Fernando Tatis' 2 GS in one inning will never be beaten either. Forget the guy's name but 2 straigh no-hitters is probably safe as well.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:55 PM) Pitch popped something. I think he screwed up his elbow, looked pretty bad. As severe as you guys are making it appear, hopefully this isnt career ending or altering for him

QUOTE (Soxpranos @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:53 PM) I hear you, nobody ever criticized Torre when he brought Mariano in the 8th to face 5 out of 6 lefties. If it is so easy to manage , get an interview. Linebrink Awful comparison
-
Stupid, stupid, stupid. Linebrink is good, but we have 2 lefty specialists for a reason... ...and apparently to face lefty batting champions and mvps in a 2 run game in the 8th isnt it
-
QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:34 PM) Who was the pitcher they called "El Guapo". I think he pitched for the Pirates then the Red Sox. That guy made David Wells look skinny Rich Garces...kind of looks similar

How has Dennys Reyes not allowed a run this year?
-
QUOTE (Brian @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:19 PM) It seems like Juan has been hot lately or at least decent, but he is still batting .190. Hitting .294 in May (albeit in only 17 ABs). Hell i'd take it if Uribe hit .235 all year, you know he's gonna play good D, hit some HRs and knock guys in.

QUOTE (MAX @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:17 PM) . . . . he might be al player of the week this week. You said right now, not may. So by now what do you mean then? Todays game? The last 3 games to fit your point? I figured talking about someones last 7 games would be a pretty good sample set for a definition of "now".
-
QUOTE (MAX @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:12 PM) One in each of the last 3 games. He doesn't suck right now. He's hitting .208 in May...that's not exactly good. By the way, did Dotel look as good as his boxscore makes him look?
-
QUOTE (MAX @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:11 PM) Everybody except carlos? What about jermaine? JD's had a few HRs but his average in May still sucks.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:10 PM) That is the definition of stupid. I'd let him go until he gives up a base runner...he did just strike out the side.
-
QUOTE (zenryan @ May 8, 2008 -> 04:08 PM) remember the guy who made the thread calling out all the Crede naysayers?? looks like someone overreacted bigtime. +1
-
That was like watching Jackass for the second time. You know exactly what's going to happen and you're prepared for it, but when it happens it still makes you cringe and laugh again anyways. Pathetic.
-
C'mon swish get it to the outfield
-
haha a double steal with CQ and Thome...well considering i have them both starting that also helps my fantasy team ha

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2008 -> 03:50 PM) Honestly though...you really do have to be careful with Danks. He's still just a barely 23 year old who's arm has never thrown more than 130 innings in a year. Rule of thumb says you shouldn't push him to more than 160 innings this year unless you want him to really risk injury next year, you typically don't want to add more innings than that to an arm in a year. He's got a shot at the win, we spent a lot of money on the bullpen, we're carrying 7 pitchers, and we're leading the league in innings out of our starters thanks to the other guys. Be careful with him at least for another year. Keep those innings down. Maybe even skip him a start or two as the season goes on. Completely agree. Came in with lots of upside and a top prospect from Texas and so far this year appears to have made significant strides already. He's young. We will have him for a while, no sense in treating him carelessly like a certain manager on the other side of town. With a young promising lefty, better safe than sorry.

Just checking the box score right now...i see we're pathetic again. Danks looking like he's been pretty decent so far though.
