  1. AJ!!! I bet the Cubs fans lovvved seeing him hit that
  2. 1-2-3 is not a good sign to start this...hopefully Danks follows suit
  3. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 01:48 PM) [brenley]: To me, the White Sox are a very good off-speed hitting team. lolrly To me, Brenley's a very good commentator
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2008 -> 01:11 PM) They just had a quote from Ozzie calling Wrigley a museum, and that there were rats as big as pigs out there while you took batting practice... I do want to correct Ozzie on one thing... Those rats are the Cubs fans Check out the latest Palehose 8 http://palehose8.blogspot.com/
  5. Thats awesome. But after saying that he better pitch well today or he's really gonna hear it haha
  6. Portugal laid an egg. Those teams from Iberia always do well until knockout stages in tournaments. That being said, Spain has looked REAL good so far and Italy has been meh. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of pressure Torres, David Villa, Xavi and Co. can put on the Italian 'D'. Buffon hasnt looked too great so far. If I had to call it from here, I'd go with the Dutch though to win it all.
  7. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Jun 13, 2008 -> 03:00 PM) So is this type of mid-season reshuffling fairly common, or could this be the comeuppeance from what Bureau was talking about before? (Players unfairly benched, etc). Speaking of, what ever came about from that situation? I havent heard anything in a while.
  8. Alyssa Milano + Holly Marie Combs (Charmed)
  9. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 02:29 PM) Why would you hope he was 1337? I get the feeling I'm missing some kind of blogosphere inside joke here. Online gaming lingo for 'Elite'. Its used as a substitute for awesome/amazing/cool/elite etc...
  10. What a depressing series. Sucks to be dominated by a pitching staff that has pretty much sucked all year. On the bright side, MB had another good start.
  11. QUOTE (RibbieRubarb @ Jun 12, 2008 -> 10:28 AM) Hmmm. This gets even more interesting. In 2002, when the alleged "fix" of the Lakers/Kings series occured, it was broadcast on NBC. At that time Tim Donaghy's cousin, Jack, was inventing the Trivection Oven for GE, the parent company of...wait for it...NBC!!!!!! He was then promoted to Vice President of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming. Hmmmm... hahaha
  12. QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ Jun 2, 2008 -> 01:15 PM) Some big name guys are struggling with making the grade to pass the NCAA clearinghouse. Deandre Liggins has a learning disability so he can continue to take the ACT/SAT as many times as he needs, but word is he does not look good to qualify. DeRozen and Jennings have yet to qualify as well, and time is running short for them. What's the latest on the Nate Miles situation involving academic qualification?
  13. So i just got back from a cruise a couple days ago and i got to try a lot of things i hadnt had before (Mahi mahi, lamb, king crab legs etc...). Anyways, i'm not much of a fan of scotch, but i ordered a JW Blue Label on the rocks during the last night cuz it was cheaper than i'd ever see it in the US and let me just say, it was awesome. Absoutley no bite to it at all. So smooth. I dont know how many people have had it or not, but if you havent i'd recommend trying it sometime.
  14. hahaha thats funny...i remember being on the ESPN boards at the time complaining about the ludicrous calls that game and saying i wouldnt doubt that was fixed (albeit mostly jokingly at the time). It was the most pathetic display of officiating i had ever and since have ever seen. The image of the slow motion replay of Scott Pollard standing still with his arms straight up and Shaq being a good 6 inches away from him but still somehow getting called for a foul is still fresh in my head.
  15. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ May 30, 2008 -> 11:58 AM) You really want to cry....Let me tell ya what would be at the top of my list...Rolling Rock and Miller Lite. Cry? Nah, that would just make me laugh haha
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ May 29, 2008 -> 10:05 PM) Jin dying was sad with Sun having to watch it. Jin may not be dead. It is entirely possible he was able to jump off the ship before it completely exploded and sank. And remember, there was a boat on its way back to the ship at the time which could have picked him and whoever else up and gone back to the island. But the island moved, so who knows.
  17. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 28, 2008 -> 10:05 AM) i can't tell what you are trying to say here... 128/barrel looks like an oil price, not gas. And gas prices, if you mean what you see at the pump, are always lagged behind oil price changes. Plus as we hit summer, the gas mix changes, and gets pricier for that reason as well. Yeah i meant oil. It was just kind of venting b/c when oil prices were rising gas prices at the pump were going up sometimes 5-10 cents per day and now that the price falls a little bit, the gas stations around me have all gone up 2-6 cents more since monday despite that.
