  1. Anybody know how much the Sox are saving the rest of this year moving Tad/Rob?
  2. QUOTE(frankie5angels @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 04:18 PM) I have a feeling that all this RedSox talk is just a smoke screen and KW is dealing with another team. He likes to operate that way. I think 2 or 3pm.
  3. QUOTE(frankie5angels @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 03:59 PM) I think maybe what Bruce Levine is reporting about us trying to sign Dye to an extension, maybe a little posturing on KW's part. He might be hoping that the RedSox see we may resign him, and up thier offer for him. I myself really don't know what to do with this guy. I'm not sure if I want him back, but at the same point who do we have for next year. This team really has so many question marks it's just unreal. And goes to show how poor of a minor league system that we do have. Besides form Fields, who is doing ok this year, we have nothing as far as position players. I think this just goes to show how far Sweeney and BA have fallen out of favor. And don't count me as one of the Jerry Owens fans. I don't believe he will ever be more that a 4th outfielder at best. KW is gonna have his work cut out for him to try and get this Org. back to a level where it can compete in this division. Couldn't agree more.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 25, 2007 -> 09:15 PM) Another hit here, and we're looking at 9 runs for Contreras. 10 runs and 9 runs in consecutive outings is quite impressive. I particularly like Logan being brought in to face a righty after letting a lefty face Contreras....a lefty who is bad against LHP. Can we trade Ozzie at the deadline?
  5. I have a feeling I'm going to be very disappointed at the trading deadline. I have a terrible feeling KW won't make any moves. God I hope I'm wrong.
  6. I think they can be made, but not announced until Wed.
  7. Have they said who's going to start in Friday's double header? Massett? Any chance Gio/Gavin could get the call?
  8. Sorry if this has already been posted, or if this is not the right place to post: From today's Trib. "The Sox hold an option on Singleton for next season. They need either to bring in an experienced play-by-play man or convince Farmer to give his partner an earnest chance." God I hope they dump this guy. Bring in a REAL play by play guy and slide Farmio over to FULL TIME color.
  9. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 02:07 PM) Erstad leading off Erstad CF Iguchi 2B Thome DH Konerko 1B Pierzynski C Dye RF Mackowiak LF Fields 3B Uribe SS Great, more of Uribe.
  10. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 16, 2007 -> 06:31 PM) This is incorrect understanding of the option process. He was optioned to AAA to start the season. He does not need to use any more options this season to shuffle between the minors and the bigs. This adds up. My bad.
  11. I think Floyd is out of options, so he probably won't see the team until Sept.
  12. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 03:14 PM) I'd really like it if someone could explain this one to me. Anderson didn't look the greatest out in CF yesterday, but Ozuna looked bad out in LF. Anderson at DH allows Thome to pinch hit for him. If he was in LF, then they'd be forced to sub in Dye.
  13. Erstad, CF; Iguchi, 2B; Thome, DH; PK, 1B; Dye, RF; AJ, C; Crede, 3B; Mackowiak, LF; Uribe, SS. Buehrle pitching. And the Erstad Sub .100 Watch continues.
  14. Maybe they can showcase Logan a bit and trade for some OF help.
  15. Did Perez hook on with anybody? I'd rather have his bat on the bench then Logan. Actually I'd rather have him on the team then Erstad.
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 11:29 AM) Crazy ass lineup Ozuna, LF Erstad, 1B Konerko, DH Dye, RF Crede, 3B Iguchi, 2B Uribe, SS Anderson, CF Molina, C WOW. This line-up smells. I can't wait to watch Erstad ground out the 2nd baseman 4 times. The Count better be on, or this one will be over in a hurry.
  17. 90 Pitches. Not too much more for Mr. Harden.
  18. The Greg Walker school of hitting: SOLO HRS!!!
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 11:25 AM) If we weren't going to trade prospects for the superior Soriano last year, no way we'll go after Andruw this year. Didn't KW hint (I want to say on an radio interview) that they offered McCarthy for Soriano? I might be mistaken on that. But I think the Sox are in a much better position to deal this deadline, compared to last July.
  20. No thanks to Brady Clark. I think they should just wait until the trading deadline and make a play for someone like Andruw Jones.
  21. QUOTE(hi8is @ Mar 1, 2007 -> 03:48 PM) hows sisco sound? Wild
