  1. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) I can guarantee you that we will sweep this series if we win today... Garland goes tomorrow and theres no way he loses, hes the man to end the streak with a comment like this you've just made all your posts suspect...
  2. QUOTE(quickman @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 04:34 PM) steff I will be above you looking down! If you want to come up to the club section let me know. I also have the stadium club for a drink when its raining sec159row2 with my wife and one year old... hopefully the weather will keep the tuesday nonsense at a minimum...
  3. QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 09:04 AM) It's funny, but in the past few years the team has choked the hardest when this has happened... nice shot red two...
  4. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 01:05 PM) We're taking our chances. Knock on wood. Off to the Cell from Champaign. see ya in sec159row2...
  5. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) I love Twins Fans. Their high intelligence always amazes me. I've always had a good experience with twins fans... they root for their team... and also liked to be circled by some burt guy...
  6. QUOTE(Gldfinger5 @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 11:55 AM) I was listening to Lawrence Holmes last night and he was discussing the differences between the Cubs and White Sox in terms of media attention, fan base, and just overall popularity. One of the main discussions is why the Cubs are more popular and if the city of Chicago was ever a White Sox town. Now I'm only 25 so I can't go back to far, but I thought in the early 90's when the jerseys changed and we were one of the best teams in baseball that it was more of a Sox town than Cubs town. Do you guys agree or do you know of a time when you could be talking baseball with someone from outside Chicago and they'd just assume you were a Sox fan rather than a Cubs fan?? I grew up on the southside.. still live there... and it took till I was 14 to find out there was another team in chicago... the 84 playoffs woke me up to the cubs... prior to 84 the only team in chicago I knew of was the sox... ignorance truely is bliss...
  7. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 09:58 PM) YOU-R-Vinny's Mom. doesn't j dye have two hr's???
  8. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 10:49 AM) I dont care what it changes, if I catch it... its mine.. I can do what I want with it, and throw it back I shall i HAVE TO APOLOGIZE... I shouldn't have resorted to name calling...
  9. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 10:41 AM) No way, If I caught a HR ball from our team.. then Ide give it to a kid... but from the other team, pffft, f*** that that ball is headed back to where it came does that change the outcome... dork...
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 10:23 PM) You should be fine, definitely won't be rained out. half price games don't rain out, cause jerry would then have to honor the ticket for any game... oy!
  11. QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:58 AM) From reading here and over at WSI, it was a nasty drunken crowd last nite. I try to avoid Monday and Tuesday nites, but went to a couple last year and it was an ugly environment. It would be nice to say it's all the fault of the goofy Cub fans who come over to start trouble, but that's not the whole story. There is definitely a large white trash element present on these 1/2 price nights. I see packs of young people, mostly wearing their dirty baseball caps backwards or sideways, literally bumping into people and looking to cause trouble. I'm not picking on young people here because stupidity has no age restrictions, but there is a huge poplulation of dirtbags at the ballpark on those nights. It'll be interesting to see how it goes tonite with the 2 for 1 special in the upper deck only. The Sox need to look long and hard at this issue. monday half price nights is always "skokie" night.. tuesday is "trailer park" night.. I know this crap, yet I'm still bringing my one-year-old tonight. .. like I said it could be an adventure...
  12. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:40 AM) The Indians will be dead and buried by August.....Book it. I hope you are right...
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:45 AM) No. But I know who you are referring to. I also love the guy who sits in the first row behind the BP who reads the paper before every game.. LOL. He's a nut. that guy's (first row behind BP) chant "LET'S GO YOU WHITE SOX!!!" he also has a flag from time to time...
  14. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:33 AM) I don't think so.. he's been in 4 and 5 in 159 for the last 4 years. No big deal.. I was just curious if you knew him. OK.. next guess.. is he kind of a big guy "roomy in the hips" ... blond(light??) hair... with a round face... and does he bring a flag????
  15. I fear for september to face the twins and especially the indians... these wins may not happen in sept...
  16. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:28 AM) Yea.. I don't think it would be appropriate to post his full name. He has season tickets.. makes it to about 50 games. Last year he spent most of the season with his arm in a cast. He has 2 sons that are usually with him. Good friends with and always talking to Greg Walker. We use his seats 5 or 6 times a year... I was just curious if you know him. He talks to everyone out there. Real social butterfly. hmmm... I think I know who you are talking about... did he try getting the first row last year or the year before??? before that he was like 6th or 7th row on the sec 160 side of sec 159???
  17. QUOTE(Wong & Owens @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:19 AM) Where the hell was it yesterday then? I was in section 159. Row 1, seat 14. I'll zamboni the area tonight... zamboni= a hockey thing.. you remember hockey???
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:19 AM) Hey.. I've been meaing to ask you if you know Rick.. he sits by you. 2 end seats next to the BP rows 4 and 5...? rick???
  19. QUOTE(Wong & Owens @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:19 AM) Where the hell was it yesterday then? I was in section 159. Row 1, seat 14. row 1 seat 14 is right around the guy who started the "eight miles north" .. his name is josh and he always keeps score... he's a great sox fan...
  20. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:15 AM) I was also in left field, I felt the same way last night, not to mention the constant throwing of peanuts at the twins fans behind me. Half of the s*** that was thrown hit me. There is a way to be competetive without being an asshole. I guess this might just be a huge problem on half price night. I'm taking my one-year-old tonight... sec159 row2 ... his fifth game, but first night game... it could be an adventure... hopefully nothing gets thrown in our direction.. my friendly neighborhood security guard (tom kelly) is usually great about taking care of the nonsense... all hail bullpen security guard TK!!!!
  21. QUOTE(Wong & Owens @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 08:05 AM) So, I was at the game last night-- 1st row in left field-- and I was appalled at the idiotic behavior of the majority of the so-called fans in that section. 4 morons behind me heckled Shannon Stewart EVERY INNING with clever taunts like "Why don't the Twins get a f***ing real right fielder?"(Stewart plays left field) or, "Stewart sucks as bad as the Cubs." Then, of course, the endless stream of "Cubs Suck" chants. To all you drillrods who insist on obsessing over the Cubs-- DO NOT GO TO ANYMORE SOX GAMES. DO NOT EVEN WATCH THEM ON T.V. LIKE THE GUY WHO INSISTS ON GAY-BASHING AT EVERY TURN DUE TO HIS HATRED OF HIS OWN DEEP-ROOTED HOMOSEXUAL DESIRES, YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY SELF-LOATHING CUBS FANS, AND I'd APPRECIATE IF YOU'D STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MY TEAM. Finally, the unacceptable practice of throwing the opposing team's home run balls back. Undoubtably started by one of the CUBS SUCK chanting cheeba monkeys, this is a WRIGLEY FIELD TRADITION, so if you really consider yourself a Sox fan, keep the ball if you're lucky to grab one. Or, give it to the nearest youngster-- you'll make his year. Or, take the ball and throw it at the nearest jagoff chanting "Cubs Suck" during the late innings of a tie ballgame between the SOX and OUR biggest rival over the last 3-4 years. f***heads. Thank You. section 159 in left field has a chant when idiots throw visitors home runs back... "eight miles north!!!!"
  22. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/mari...5_nlbeat19.html how can diane (espn spokeswoman) say that coverage is equal??? peter gammons can't get the red sox/yankee cock out of his mouth long enough to comment on any other team... sad, but true, and ozzie even touched on it, that ESPN LOVES the yankees/red sox... mac-yurko-harry even touched on it that it was great to talk baseball without talking about the redkees... the redkees make me want to :puke
  23. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) alot of this satelite imagery comes from declassified soviet crap... so it could be that old... the reds sold alot of their satelite pictures... globexplorer.com has the same type stuff... it might be globexplore.com?
  24. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) thats one old pic alot of this satelite imagery comes from declassified soviet crap... so it could be that old... the reds sold alot of their satelite pictures...
