  1. That is incorrect. .749 OPS vs RHP, .653 vs LHP
  2. It wasn’t a good pitch selection because it was in the strike zone when he was ahead in the count against Alvarez. No way you put something he can catch up to right there in his wheel house. If he made the same pitch after he fouled off a bunch of two strike fastballs it might have been a good pitch
  3. Hopefully Reynaldo learned a lesson there. Better throw it 59 feet against Alvarez
  4. You’re right but Alvarez, Tucker and evidentially Maldonado still match up with him very well.
  5. Not that much different. Even Maldonado is 7–14 with a dinger against him. If Maldonado has your number, you’ve got problems with that lineup.
  6. I’m not sure I’ve seen a Sox starter look that sharp and dominant. Maybe Contreras during the stretch run of ‘05?
  7. Sure the ass itself is magnificet. I was referring to behavior of the person to whom it is attached
  8. I thought it was strange she just stood out on the mound for a couple minutes like, well, here’s my ass, but maybe I’m old fashioned.
  9. I have to admit I said Grandal was washed up, but if he stays healthy enough to play 90+ games like tonight, that would be massive for the Sox chances this year.
  10. Yaz looks waaaaay better behind the plate imo. Just the fact he is staying on his feet is a vast improvement. Looks much more mobile
  11. Pages of sox fans chanting “white sox suck” in an opening day game in which the Sox go into ninth tied 1-1 against the champs. Classic.
  12. We’ve watched Abreu chase thousands of sliders, but the guy with the best slider in the world doesn’t throw him one
  13. Are the astros the first team to incorporate a corporate logo on their uniforms?
  14. If the other 21 pitchers on the forty man aren’t enough to get through May, the Sox are screwed regardless.
  15. The RHP he faced last year wasn’t major league either.
  16. Is rebuilding what you call what the A’s are doing? Seems more like flailing to me
  17. He hit .362/.417/.533 against left handers last year
  18. Why? He hits lefties better. .951 OPS vs lefties last year compared to .879 vs RHP
  19. To me, Cleveland is clearly a 90+ win team. They have potentially the best pen in the majors behind a good starting staff, excellent defense and fundamentals, the best manager in the game and plenty of good young hitters. They are a little short on power, but I just don’t see how people think they are going to be barely above .500. This is a team that is only getting better imo. Obviously, a rash of injuries could ruin any season, but otherwise I don’t see them winning less than 90. If those last two things happen, I would predict well above 88 wins. Can’t imagine this starting five making 150 starts though. Last year, this five combined to make 120 starts total
  20. You reckon they need that 40th player to keep the active roster full through the end of May?
