  1. Schultz goes 3IP this time with 6K, all but one swinging. Struck out the side in the 2nd. He allowed a baserunner on a "walk" in which only 1 pitch actually missed the zone on Gameday, but no harm done. The opposing pitcher is Rangers #5/MLB #76 so I assume there's a good number of scout types around. I know Baseball America has people there, so maybe some video will trickle out later.
  2. Shultz was quietly moved to the development list after his last appearance, but I'm pretty sure he's still expected to go today. No stream either way of course, since the Down Bad Ducks don't have a broadcast.
  3. Dodgers have a scheduled BP day tomorrow I'm pretty sure. Might affect their decisionmaking here.
  4. Reylo's first ERs since May 13, first HR since May 4.
  5. So apparently this series Grifol/Castro started doing a new pregame drill with the guys focused on getting the ball off the ground.... It might be working?
  6. Sometimes you can see so clearly what this team was supposed to be.
  7. Clevinger post game said his bicep felt similar to a "hamstring grabbing during a sprint." Preliminary testing was "alright", says he'll get imaging done tomorrow to be sure. Doesn't sound worthy of too much panic just yet.
  8. Burger has a chance to do something hilarious here.
  9. Go ahead 2R homer by Castillo makes it 3-2 Barons bottom 5. Mena working some deeper counts than you might like, but turns in a nice line on 95 pitches: 6IP, 2ER, 3H, 2BB, 7K and leaves in line for the W.
  10. Weaver hits his 3rd HR of the week to get the Dash on the board, 4-2. Fisher with another QS. 6IP, 3ER on 3H (all solo shots), 2BB, 7K.
  11. Remilliard pulled early from the Knights game. Maybe finally getting a call? Seems like it:
  12. The atmosphere for the reverse boycott in Oakland tonight is something else. They win their second against Tampa and their 7th in a row.
  13. Feels like he's doing as much as anyone to make a case for it. I like Frazier and am fine with him getting some run, and I don't really want Oscar back up until it's going to be long term...but I'd probably try Reyes before Haseley for example. It probably also depends on what the plan is for Hamilton, I guess.
  14. Back to back homers from Reyes and Colas. Really good to see some power from him again.
  15. Kanny starts a series vs. the Wood Ducks, who have yet to join us in 2023. No streams for the prospect freaks. On the other end of the spectrum, I like the production of the Durham stream. I also like seeing Colas lifting the ball again:
  16. Kelley seems to be taking very well to his new piggyback role. Another 3 scoreless, today. Edit: I jumped the gun: He added another inning, bringing tonight's line to 4IP, 0R, 1H, 3K, 2BB. He has given up just 1ER since the move, now totaling 9.2IP, 1H, 15K, 6BB The ER was on a walk > steal > balk > steal sequence, which is a kind of funny footnote. He gets the W to boot, raising his career record to...2-15.
