  1. Should have assigned the new hitting coaches to the guys with power, but kept the old "just hit singles" strategy for everyone else.
  2. Interesting how there's no longer a bunch of chatter about how he's a fat lazy slob who kicks puppies for entertainment and probably doesn't even like baseball.
  3. @The Kids Can Play They have been spacing his starts out more, and he was supposed to go today, but... Boo.
  4. Very nice line for Matthew Thompson tonight: 7IP, 5H, 0BB, 8K, 1ER on a solo shot.
  5. Burke continues his 33 game on base streak with a homer, surpassing the team record set by Montgomery last year.
  6. Standard ramp up stuff. He played a game of DH, then 5 innings on the field, and now 7 innings. Assuming he feels fine, he'll be playing full games this week before heading out for affiliate ball after that.
  7. Didn't expect the umps to do us any favors, but the zone was pretty actively hostile. Rangers pitchers got basically everything on the black and then some, Sox couldn't even get the edges called consistently. For example, the aforementioned missed call on Heim: Meanwhile, Seby was called out on a far worse pitch:
  8. I mean, we're probably not supposed to complain after yesterday, but the calls haven't been great. There was a missed strike 3 the pitch before the Heim HR, might be a 3-3 tie with the right call there. Meanwhile Eloy got a called strike at the ankles, and Perez got calls off the plate all day.
  9. .560 xBA 100mph for AV, .760 110 mph for Burger. The big bats are seeing him well.
  10. From Gleeman in The Athletic.
  11. Elvis' HR was the first from a White Sox starting SS this season (his other was at 2B). This leaves the Nationals' CF as the last remaining starting position to not hit a HR this year. Marlins' 3B had been a holdout position too, until Segura hit his first against the Sox during the previous homestand. Andrus' slash over the last 7 (.280/.333/.480) quietly looking more like last year's version (.271/.309/.464 with the Sox). If he wants to get hot for a few weeks, I won't complain. He's at 98 career homers, would be cool to see him hit 100.
  12. Fully believe he would have been called up instead of Remi/Popeye if he wasn't on the IL at the time.
  13. Elvis revenge game?
  14. Colson starting at SS today in AZ after DHing yesterday, batting 2nd.
  15. Eloy loves hitting HRs on Dylan Day.
  16. Colson with a triple in his 2nd AB.
