  1. Obviously would rather be up 5-2 however considering the Sox various game downfalls lately, panic seems sensible and it’s reasonable to fear that the Sox won’t score again.
  2. A panic doesn’t seem out of line at this point especially against the Astros in Houston. If the Sox bats go lame the rest of the game Houston wins.
  3. Found Schriff to be miscast as a baseball broadcaster and really got annoyed as to how he repeatedly moaned about how cold he was during his broadcast of home games in April and May which made him sound like a softy and probably caused some who were considering going to a game to not go due to his warnings of how they’d be cold. That’s not how real baseball fans or in particular south siders roll. As Bill Veeck always said “there is never a bad day at the ballpark”.
  4. Personally I think it’s nuts to play Colson if the goal is to win playoff games. The infield can survive with Meidroth at short and Ant at second plus on offense they both add punch. Colson is dead weight. Whatever they do with him or he does with himself during the off season is his next chapter. Right now he’s a liability that doesn’t belong.
  5. Meant bottom of the eight.
  6. I’m expressing my opinions and I will continue to do so.
  7. Why? Did I hurt somebody’s feelings?
  8. They are uncorking the champagne in the Guardians locker room right now. This is not ok. The Sox blew the division pure and simple and need to own it because while they may be happy or even ecstatic over winning a wild card the majority of Sox fans are upset not only by the way the season ended but also by the way the last month played out. If Venable plays Colson at any time during this panic drill the white sox will be participating in starting on Tuesday he (Venable) should be immediately fired. There was hope in the bottom of the ninth but Will Venable cruelly ended that hope allowing the opposite of hope (Colson Montgomery) to carry a bat to the plate and do what he does which is nothing.
  9. Congratulations to the Cleveland Guardians to a well deserved Division Title and kudos to their excellent Manager and Coaching Staff.
  10. I’d rather see Roger’s there than Colson. What a effing dumb move (again) by Venerable. Colson? Seriously Colson?
  11. Will be hard to do. While it’s a nice thing to make it as a wild card, not winning the division means they don’t win anything. They lost the division to Cleveland. They are not winning the American League Pennant. The only thing this team will be remembered for is for making the playoffs after three consecutive 100 loss seasons which in reality will only be a statistical anomaly that few will remember as time marches on.
  12. Venable is not a talented manager and that deficiency will be aired national tv starting Tuesday.
  13. And all the concession should be for free.
  14. that was probably a “we” decision impressed upon him by his comrades with a hint of desperation.
  15. That’s scary. He has no idea how to manage pitchers.
  16. Been thinking the same thing. Will is definitely in playoff mode. He could give a duck about winning the division. He’s smiling and laughing in the dugout.
  17. Was that a hit and run call by Venable?
  18. Tomorrow’s game should be real downer with nothing to play for unless the royals get extremely lucky going forward tonight which is incredibly unlikely.
  19. It’s written in the stars.
  20. Absolutely buzzsaws.
  21. K.C. ain’t beating Cleveland tonight, tomorrow, or Sunday. This division was the white Sox’s to lose and they (with an incredible assist from their manager) lost it plain and simple.
  22. Cleveland now have the magic and they’ve had it go a few weeks now.
  23. Yeah. That should be enough for Cleveland especially with their bullpen. Game has the scent of a Guardian rout.
  24. I consider Meidroth a decent replacement
