  1. This is what Cot’s shows. https://legacy.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/american-league/chicago-white-sox/
  2. Which makes it the perfect return business, whether unintended or not. 🤑
  3. Clevinger was paid $1.5 million for 5.2 innings in the majors and a 7.94 ERA this season. That’s over $250,000 per inning pitched. Not bad.
  4. Nope, I’m not angry at all. It has been the status quo for years. Every generation and race of baseball fans hates awful baseball, and the White Sox are awful thanks to their deadbeat owner. It doesn’t take much thought or pontification of other bullshit excuses to realize the truth.
  5. Curious. In your opinion, is “Chiropracty” bogus? I know my old man had it done a few times on his back and it felt good for a few weeks but he said it would hurt again after a couple weeks and he would have to go back over and over. Is it just a continuous scam which just relieves pain temporarily?
  6. Good thinking. Problem is he has already aged out. Dude will be 27 before next season starts.
  7. Coors Lite owns, and da Jewels always has deals on it for 2 cases.
  8. You were also upset that posters would be sarcastic and critical of a team that has lost 100+ games over 3 years and set the loss record. The Sox are a terrible team with a terrible owner. It has nothing to do with the age or ethnicity of Sox fans. Are you trying to pretend that south side Irish Sox fans aren’t fed up with the current state of this garbage team? You hate the Cubs and we all know that they are the “Loveable Losers” but you seem to want to ensure that the Sox share that same motto. Finally, why do you rage against anyone and everyone that talks about the Sox being an absolute garbage MLB team rather than the owner of the team Jerry Reinsdorf? He should be the target of your anger. This isn’t rocket science, they are bad for a reason.
  9. Agreed. I updated my previous post but I think they just grab another righty corner OF to platoon with them. But he will probably be Slater level. I just don’t see the Sox spending on a corner OF when B. Montgomery is up and coming.
  10. I don’t see the OF changing much. Your starters are already here. Benintendi — Robert — Tauchman And the word has been that they aren’t spending much money this offseason. My guess is they acquire another righty corner OF like Slater quality to platoon with Tauchman.
  11. Simple. Don’t read it then. After three straight 100+ loss seasons with one of them being record setting, what else would you expect?
  12. The storyline is funny as well. Him taking the money to leave Milwaukee and then getting whooped by them in the playoffs. But that $40 million dollars probably won’t make him regret his decision.
  13. Exactly. The commentators didn’t talk about it at all. But the dude looked more defeated than the players immediately. Terrible look for a manager. I was shocked.
  14. Yeah, just a hypothetical baseball strategy thought. But you don’t mess with an almost guaranteed win for a chance at one later.
  15. Haha, probably. He just saved the Cubs bullpen for the series at the very least. And so does Counsell. What a terrible look for a manager to look so visibly defeated from the first inning.
  16. Civale should have started, lol. He’s dominated.
  17. I know you gotta take the W, but would anyone have pulled Peralta early with the big lead and tried to pitch him again in Game 3?
  18. Getting injured running to 1B is an embarrassment. George Brett would still be playing, even after crapping his pants.
  19. That was embarrassing. Routine play.
  20. Byrd on short rest… apparently not so gouda.
  21. Hopefully the Sox have an amazing chiropractor that can keep it under control. Do players live on cortisone shots these days?
  22. Yes, they could have cut it to a one score lead but had an INT. Later, they also had a chance to stop MC on 4th down and had a PI call against them. Brutal to watch, and they never replayed the PI call there. That was a big turnaround in the game. But also, early in the game they failed to score at all on 1st and goal, and then whiffed on a safety after that. But yes, I do think this MC team could beat some college teams. Probably not D1 but likely DIII teams. I think that’s BR’s only loss of the season the rest of the way.
  23. Simply outmatched. BR is really good but MC is on another level.
  24. My younger son is a techie so he managed to install an app called SportsFire on my streaming devices that has a free live Marquee Network stream that is working as of right now. Here are the instructions if you are a techie as well. I just installed it on one last streaming device and it was pretty easy… https://troypoint.com/sportsfire/ My older son who is playing tonight just texted me that Caleb Williams and some other Bears players will be at the game tonight. I asked him where he heard this but I am still waiting for his response.
