New Sox fan motto — “We Don’t Believe In Them.”

My buddy is a negative Cubs fan. He texted me today that he couldn’t believe how many ex-White Sox players were contributing to WC playoff teams. He mentioned how lights out Crochet was. I reminded him that Jerry has refused to pay Sale, Rodon, Cease, and Crochet. He just responded with “disgraceful”.

It’s important to remember the insane season he had and playoff starts like this when analyzing the trade. All because Jerry is a cheap miser. I doubt Boston misses the four prospects they gave up for Crochet right now.

The word at the time was that Anthony was untouchable. But seeing what Crochet is doing now, he shouldn’t have been so maybe Getz didn’t push hard enough? Who knows…

Ozzie couldn’t look in the mirror and truthfully say he identified a good hitter. And just look back at some of his favorite players and how terrible they were at hitting, yet he kept sticking them in the lineup. Ozzie was Darrin Erstad’s biggest fan in 2007 and kept batting him lead off. 🤮

Jerry definitely did this with TLR. He just left Hahn out of the decision altogether. I think Bob Nightengale was reporting it before Hahn even knew. 🤣

Yep. Getz traded a young prospect for a 33 year old lefty that had one fluky good season in the majors. The warning signs were already there — he walks too many batters. What a horribly worthless trade. Boston ate his lunch on that trade.

And he never had a season as bad as Getz’s past two (and first two) seasons as GM. Getz couldn’t carry Kenny’s jock, much less Stearns’.
