It’s a bit surprising that Getz didn’t receive any cash considerations in the deal outside of dumping Seranthony’s money. The Brazobán trade was great. This one, not so much.

This appears to be a great trade. Sucks that he’s so old for the additional 3 years of control, but the cost is seemingly so inconsequential that it doesn’t matter if he falls apart soon.

Why in the hell would the Padres reject this deal? Morejon is going to be a free agent. They could have had 4 years of control of a #4/5 starter for him.
