I don’t mean to rain on your parade but Ray Ray already called this out. Take a look at his home/away splits, especially when he was actually able to hit prior to the past two seasons. He is the very definition of a “Coors-made” hitting threat. He has hit worse than Timo Perez away from Coors in his career. It’s nice that he can hit an occasional homerun but I see a career .573 OPS on the road. That’s mind-blowingly awful.

Need a decent catcher trade to drop that ugly Doyle trade down from the top of the forum so I don’t have to see it again. 🤣

I believe he was rated as high as #8 in the Sox system by MLB Pipeline, but I believe that was before the draft. Looks like he is slotted at #19 in the Rockies system now.

I don’t think anyone thinks that. They are on the hook for the prorated amount for this year and the entirety of his contract for next year. I read that it is $30 million. Including Seranthony and his money will obviously offset some of that remaining $30 million owed this year and next.

Do we want him for that long if he forgot how to hit at Coors?

Eh, I’m doubting they acquired a guy at the deadline with one of their bigger trade chips to send this guy to Charlotte. I think they are churning their other outfield depth in upcoming trades.

This would not surprise me at all. This covers their last two needs (whether you like Singer or not) and the Reds are definitely moving those guys. Sure seems like the Sox want to move Wolkow.
