  1. If you can’t identify the difference between the Eloy trade and a potential Robert trade, I am wasting my fingers typing. Once again, Jerry saved money overall with the Eloy trade. Don’t be dense.
  2. I don’t know what caulfield is talking about but it was simply a salary dump trade to save a bit of money. The reliever they received for Eloy has already retired from baseball. 🤣
  3. Jerry did it to save money in the end. You can’t be this clueless. It was either that or eat all of Eloy’s remaining contract. See my previous post. Jerry ended up saving $1.76 million. This is a terrible comparison and argument.
  4. Haha, no one wanted the guy so they had to include money to save money. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/07/white-sox-trade-eloy-jimenez-orioles.html ”Chicago is reportedly kicking in $4MM to cover almost all of the approximate $4.26MM remaining on his contract. The Sox would also pay down $1.5MM of the $3MM buyout on Jimenez’s 2025 club option, which the O’s are virtually certain to decline.”
  5. Like most Sox fans that know how our owner is, I’ll believe it when I see it.
  6. Can’t help your top division rivals when you don’t want to wait a year to compete.
  7. Joe Kelly must be his idol.
  8. This dude is great, haha. He deserves all da moneys.
  9. You still haven’t awoken from your wet dream?
  10. Selling high on a Dominic Fletcher little guy.
  11. Jerry isn’t likely to include money because he’s Jerry. Having a beef with Cohen makes it even less likely.
  12. “The Mets inquired about Luis Robert. But for the Mets to surrender prospects, they want money back to offset Robert’s $20M salary and hard-line White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf isn’t seen as likely to give money to Steve Cohen’s team.”
  13. Jon Heyman says they aren’t willing to, while Ken Rosenthal says they are willing to.
  14. They don’t even want to give him a chance at injuring himself yet again. Probably the wise play. But Jerry supposedly refusing to pick up any of his salary is a joke.
  15. Anyone who believes this hasn’t been paying attention.
  16. Who needs Dustin May when you can sign Oliver Dunn?
  17. You better wake up from your wet dream. 🤣 You know who still owns the team.
  18. Crochet just finished top 10 in the MLB in WAR. Roman Anthony probably should have been attainable.
  19. Who doesn’t? 💩
  20. Old and bad friends news… Athletics released LHP Jared Shuster. Angels re-signed INF Yolmer Sánchez to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, the Rangers have reached an agreement with free agent left-hander Tyler Alexander on a one-year deal.
  21. Billy Ripken says you are all f*** faces…
  22. Of course. Minor league signings and bonus money is a pittance compared to MLB feee agency.
