On Lowder, Shultz on pitched 27 innings and your prospect guy is over the top on him. Lowder was the 7th selection not the 26th. The only reason he didn’t pitch was organizational philosophy. A number of teams do it this way. Petty pitched 68 innings, the last 2 starts were 4 innings each where he gave up no runs. They are surely being conservative with him. He has 2 plus (Grade 60 pitches) his FB and Slider. The other 2 are said to be MLB average and obviously could improve. Arroyo didn’t have a great year but he still had a .750+ OPS , had 10 triples, 13 Home runs, and stole 28 bases. if he gives you .750 OPS with plus defense and speed he’s super valuable. Phillips has pitched 100 innings 2 years in a row plus 20 innings in the bigs. I’m betting it’s more the Reds philosophy than his shortcomings in regards to innings. this would c.early be a good haul with or without a sweetener.

Upset ? No …. I simply edited my post as not to upset your admin staff. I actually find much of the tension by many of your posters interesting. You still didnt answer my question! Lowder was the #7 pick this year so he hasn’t pitched (no change), Arroyo is a SS with a .757 OPS this year (maybe he will move a few slots ), Phillips is 22 had a 3.58 ERA at AA, 4.69 At AAA , and 6.+ in the majors, he was clearly rushed. Is there really a reason to devalue him ? If so they shouldn’t sell low and he should start his year at AA imo. Petty had an ERA under 2 this season in 18 starts and has 2 grade 60 pitches and 50 control. My guess is he’s a riser….Does he make the top 100….I have no idea. If Getz was devaluing Phillips why was he asking for him. This plus a lottery ticket is a gigantic return. You guys are dreaming over Schulz but who was drafted a year earlier and 19 slots later than Lowder and only pitched 27 innings this year. So I’m guessing you’d rate him extremely high if he was a White Sox prospect.
