I'm very confused why people are so upset that the GM has a higher asking price than what he will get on November 26th. You'd be losing your mind if he accepted some offer you deem bad right now.

I think holding Robert for now and hoping for a bounce back is as much as a no brainer as trading Crochet. You aren't going to get anything of great value for him. If you are moving him for another player in a similar spot to him (Lux/Bohm/etc) then I'd at least like to see that person extended for a couple years.

I really don't think Chris Getz (and by extension, JR) give a s%*# about what we think.

Yeah I don't love Bohm coming over. He can be a third piece if the Sox are throwing in some other garbage or something, but he can't be one of the 2 (I'm assuming) big "pieces" of this trade.

Yeah. I'd rather watch a season of young guys and hope to see some growth instead of doing what they did last year and hope older guys peform so you can trade them.

I’m confused why it matters? First off, we have no idea if Chris Getz is leaking this information. And if he is then he is doing…what every other team/player does for their own personal gain.

We are hearing about teams interested in Juan Soto. What's the difference? Is Juan Soto thinking he isn't good enough offers that he hasn't even gotten yet?

Moving on from Vargas would be premature. You have to give him a year. Fletcher is whatever. Probably destined to be a platoon player, but it would be dumb to move on from him too right now because what is taking his place? If you get tour RF of the future in the Crochet trade than sure.

I also put little weight into what a team tells a player when they sign him. It goes back to teams picking a guy 15th in the draft and saying they would take him number 1.
