I'm not going to pretend I know all that much about any of these guys, but I would not be mad if it ends up being Jac. The Sox need more power in their system incredibly bad. And if he turns out to be the real deal, he is a guy they would never get in free agency.

Anyone who thinks there is some other path to competing other than completely tearing the whole thing down (like they are doing) is just being obtuse.

Yeah I assumed back in the day it was “extra security” but now there are nets so put the 16 year old kid out there.

I think that would make the most sense for a team that trades for him. Basically say he will be used in the bullpen this year, see how the playoffs go, and then be a full fledged starter again next year with no restriction.

Yeah whatever they are getting out of this deadline needs to be headlined by a position player. I'm fine with pitching as a 2nd or 3rd piece, but the main piece needs to be positional for your big guns.
